  • Doing stuff with lasers while reflecting objects are nearby is not a good idea!

  • ill buy one

  • These lasers can burn anything except for a blu ray disc LOL XD

  • lol, how powerful is that laser? It's like able to cut through white stuff

  • I don't know, I don't have a power meter. Maybe 130mW-ish.

  • phr diode?

  • Yes. I removed the window but I've learned it's a bad idea.

  • lol

  • IKEA batteries are the best.

  • lol IKEA batteries in the beginning(the yellow ones)

  • Whats wrong wiht IKEA batteries?

  • Nothing...

  • ...was that a pencil sharpener?

    o.o

  • paint the white black =)

  • i wonder if one day somone will find a way to make a rudimentary lightsaber out of that stuff lol id be cutting shit down left right and center

  • We will definitely have more powerful lasers in the future, but they won't be like light sabers. A lightsaber offers resistance when you are cutting somethin, a laser doesn't. The lightsaber also goes out and stops at a certain length, the laser goes off into infinity.

  • great! how much voltage and current?? and how do you regulate that? thx

  • 12V , 150mA. I used a LM317-circuit.

  • did you use a heatsink @ that current?¿ is a pen laser ?

    you did you own heatsink?

  • I wonder what the wall behind the tape looks like...

  • i wonder as well.

  • It's fine. . .

  • the laser just burn in the focal point.

thats why if you want to burn someting, yiu have to adjunst the focus to get a very small dot that concentrates the energy.

if the ligth is not focused to a point, does not produce heat al all.

  • damn!!

  • where your magnyfying glass and solar powered torch at night?

  • Yea but u cant take the power of the sun with you can you?

  • i can :]

  • Not in the dark tho

  • see thats when u need a laser

  • lol

    =)

  • woops my bad

  • Nice ;) I like how it can cut the white tape.

Whats the power output? Im soon getting a 130-140mW Blu-ray ;)

  • No idea, it's running at 150mA.

  • Yea the diode only lasted for about a month.

  • see thats when you need a magnifying glass
