  • Not long enough. :)

  • I can almost hear a Chicago gangster filled 1929 niteclub here! Has a rowdy live feel to it! Incredible Hot jazz Hines rariety! Love it. Aaron rules!! Thanks a milion! your ardent fan, Biff

  • This is just too AWESOME indeed! Thank You Aaron for such a LOVELY post, and Thank You Biff (2reeler) For sharing this with Me.

  • Cool tune, nice turntable.

  • This is 'terrif!!

  • I like (^_^)

  • deliscious!!! I have a problem tho , my foots tapping a hole in the floor. hahaha Thanks for this Steve

  • Recorded in Chicago on October 25, 1929, written and arranged by Hayes Alvis...originally released on Victor V-38096; this is the 1936 "Bluebird" reissue.

  • Correct you are - for whatever reason, I always picture Hayes Alvis at bass instead of bass brass (tuba). I was lucky enough to snag the original V-38096 issue in trade back in the late 1980's and this Bluebird re-issue in early 2001.

Great cut of Fatha's first band - thanks for posting!

  • Brilliant record!
