Recorded in Chicago on October 25, 1929, written and arranged by Hayes Alvis...originally released on Victor V-38096; this is the 1936 "Bluebird" reissue.
Correct you are - for whatever reason, I always picture Hayes Alvis at bass instead of bass brass (tuba). I was lucky enough to snag the original V-38096 issue in trade back in the late 1980's and this Bluebird re-issue in early 2001.
