@densant0014 To clear the hard corner and move to the point of domination. If you stop to re-stack or begin to clear another room then what's the point? You'd be shot.
@USMC2b1 i'm talking about the first guy in...i'm no expert, but i don't think that by just glancing @ the corner is ok...i don't mean anything personal mind you just a comment...;)
First man stopping at the fatal funnel; First man don`t follow to his area of responsability; No one covers the corridor; An operator crosses in front of a non secured door; Team waits the flashbang explode to enter the room, just calling the attention of hostiles. Amateur.
That was, at best, amateurish, maybe okay for a bunch of paintballers but not okay for a rapid deployment team for a national military force. Also, where was the fifth man to provide security for the team? If you don't have a fifth man because you only have a four man unit, then only three men can enter the room, the last guy has to stay behind to make sure that some thug/terrorist from down the hallway doesn't come into the room behind the team and kill the whole team. No rear security???
First guy through the door isn't supposed to go straight into the room, he is typically supposed to cover a corner, usually the left, he is supposed to go left and clear/secure his area. The second guy also went more center-right instead of a hard-right, he is supposed to hug/clear/secure the opposite corner/side from the first guy. I think the first guy spent way too much time making entry, he'd have gone down in the doorway and the second guy would have gone down on top of him.
Nell irruzione all aula uno dei componenti passa davanti al vivo di volata del compagno di squadra, l errore pero' e di chi e' entrato prima che doveva scorrere fino in fondo, per sopperire il componente n2 doveva passare dietro
The mistakes are too many to list, and very amateur. I hope they can get some good instructors and some more training before Malta calls on them to save the day.
@prisoner007 the door on the left and the window were 'out of play' during that scenario. thanks for the pointers though. i've only been in RDT for 11 years.
@CPLBSS88 Due to the limited training areas available for RDT use, we must make the most of what we have. The training for that particular scenario was only to experience flash bang. In my opinion it was still too slow but thats why we practice. First you crawl, then walk, then run! In a real situation for a room that size more than 2 operators are used.
I would highly suggest removing those "camera men" aswell. I know after awhile I became solvent to people being in the room and treating them as a non threat for that exact reason. The brain is a funny thing and i did not realise it untill i was looking over people. This is a main reason why we don’t use colored targets or guns, your brain will learn to recognize them as a "threat" of "non-threat". I have seen as much as 4 seconds delay in response time with some as they try to analyze a threat.
We always did force on force though so the "bad guy" had a helmet cam and we had fixed cameras in the room, the only person(s) in the room were part of the training and were always subject to being shot as in a threat. You train this way, you will fight this way...There is nothing more deadly than over confidence or not paying attention in training except doing it for real and as i've said, you will fight as you train. I know i have beaten it to death but is is simply that important
@CPLBSS88 Did anybody ever throw you a curve-ball and have non-hostiles in the room, such as hostages/POWs or innocent bystanders being used as body-shields? Being used to everybody in the room being a bad guy could be dangerous as you may take it for granted that there may be non-hostiles in the room.
@OhioGuy19 Yes but they were treated as such; my point was to never have anybody in the room that does not have a place because all it takes is that split second in real life to get someone. Everyone, everything is hostel upon entry. Heck we had hostages turn bad and pull guns, IED’s, ect…they even had children run at us armed and unarmed. The more real your training is, the better off you’ll be. It’s not bad for starting out but as I pointed out, there is clearly some work to be done.
There were many mistakes I mean at 15 seconds the guy came in with his muzzle pointed down coming through the door then he walked behind the other guy seriously? Who has security on the door making sure no one comes in?
I understand. It's aight

@blkjungle "out of play" good lock with that...you train as you fight, there is no "out of play". its not a damn game.

Too slow, spent too much time entering, they would all be shot down in the doorway. I agree with other citics points.
