If you ever talk to him (as I have) you will understand that he absolutely gives credit to not just women, but everyone who has contributed to this movement. He cannot list off every socioeconomic group or race that deserves credit (take too long). Just because he does not explicitly mention feminism, he says nothing of how MEN should be the ones to act, or that they are the only ones who deserve credit, or that they are the only ones who have done anything thus far.

If it is intentional to not acknowledge the work that half of the population has done to remove the chains from the women of the world then I am sorry to hear he has not arrived yet and if it isn't intentional then where has he been. Feminism in not an ideology and feminism gave us many of the tools that did not exist in patriarchy like group process.

Nice ideas but Paul does not talk about the efforts of women to share the world with the dominant patriarchal culture. He talks about Indigenous cultures and eco movements and justice movements but not the emancipation of women.

@farina67 Yeah, I just saw his speech where he mentioned the "male vertebrate", and then invites the audience to applaud that phrase. He never once mentions any cabal that is the real reason why our Earth is under attack. I think his "male vertebrate in charge", slight is aimed at getting feminists into the fold. Then he tries to say we have no lexicon for what "they" want. Yes we do, Direct Democracy.

This is the exact opposite of NWO fascism therefore, I'm confused about why Hawken's ideas frighten the people in the political "right." Can someone explain that?

What he is talking about is the "Age of Responsibility" (for yourself). I am baffled why intelligent people object.

Soils aren't that hard to 'build," but it takes lots of organic material, some water, some time and some management. I once turned a gravel truck parking lot into a forest with a real O horizon. Garden soils easier.

This is the first time I had heard the term "peak soil" even though it doesnt explain it, I see the connection to erosion and degradation by fertilizers.

It's amazing how most take food completely for granted. Nobody knows about peak soil.
