  • I love the Odessa File, I listen to the audio book every year, usually in deep winter when it is itself set....

  • Check out 'The Cobra'..you won't be dissapointed..

  • The Afghan is very well researched and i enjoyed it. Not his best but worth a read.

  • i love listening to forsyth talk! it's like the perfect combination of accent and expertise.

  • A very good book THE DOGS OF WAR, exciting and the two pages of sex that some people said were wrong are magnificently written.

  • my favourite author. Cool.

    1. One of the youngest RAF pilots. 2. Journalist in Biafra. 3. Amazing novels. 3. Had a Rolex Daydate in 18 K gold. 4. Had a coat made from jackal skin.

  • Its really good to see my fave author FF on you tube video. Please join my orkut club for the FF's fans....

He is an amazing author with an eye for detail.............................

    Way to go forsyth!!!!

  • I'm interested. How do I join this club?

  • The Afghan is Forsyth's weakest effort, badly edited and with a very weak third act. But his works stand among the finest conceived and executed suspense thrillers of the past 50 years. The Day of the Jackal and The Fourth Protocol are two of my favorite thrillers of all time, along with Night of the Generals and Gorky Park, by Kirst and Smith repectively.

  • I enjoyed The Afghan quite a bit, but it certainly was not FF's best work. I'd have to say Icon would be my least fave FF novel -- again, very good compared to most other stuff but not the best he produced. It was a great day in my life when, fifteen or sixten years ago, I picked up Day of the Jackal and discovered Frederick Forsythe.

  • @thejackal7137 It might be the worst, but it was still bloody good!

  • i met this guy in the maldives.. we were on the same boat for 1 week.. he wasnt that interesting =S

  • Maybe you weren't interesting enough to make him interested in you.

  • ZINGAH!!!

  • I don't suppose you livened up the discussion by telling him you had read a couple of his books?

  • forsyth rox

  • we take ourselves very seriously and everything is a joke in this world. Human beings are ridiculous i fell really sad for humanity. Only if you understand that you can be a genius like Newton, Goethe, Balzac, Henry James, Plato, etc...

  • What's truly sad that if you are a genius, unless affiliated with the top universities, could go unrecognized, and most certainly unappreciated. The monstrous and folly-ridden masses would not take notice. Just look at the mindless overpopulation that is occurring. It is horrific. If I was in charge I would order no cost 5 year birth control injections. Hopefully, that would stem the tide.

  • ...only complaint I have about Mr Forsyth's books is that once I start reading them,I can't stop!BRILLIANT!

  • Mr. Forsyth, Shannon can only be married with a prostitute, he can´t love a rich and young student of 20 years old. Be realistic man, all your books are stupid

  • In two pages Mr. Forsyth kills the book THE DOGS OF WAR. Why Shannon (the lonely wolf) meets Miss Julia Manson and makes love with her??? It´s so stupid

  • Mr. Fredy Forsyth I have read some of your books and all of them are crap. But oh! miracle I was reading THE DOGS OF WAR and I was really impressed, I thought it was an amazing book, very descriptive and intelligent before I read that Shannon and Miss Julia Manson meet each other (the world is very small Mr. Forsyth) and make sex the first night

  • I don't understand how you can consider irrational to have sex the first or second night you meet someone.

It seems that you are the one who doesn't know how to treat women in the real world.

I had sex with every race conceivable, considering I lived in NY that is a lot.

  • My favorite author! My fave book is The Devil's Alternative. Forsyth is the best!

  • Yes, The Devil's Alternative is a great read -- one of his lesser known works but a real page-turner.

  • kudos to forsyth one the best writers of coldwar, espionage thrillers.

  • Within the realm of political thrillers, Forsyth is the best author of all time

  • A very interesting man none the less.

  • What´s with this "he rocks" shit ? ...it´s not Bruce-fucking-Springsteen...it´s David Frost with Frederick Forsyth talking politics. Goodness, you morons should try expanding your vocabulary before you even think about writing anything anywhere.

  • Forsyth is a f***ing genius and let's not forget it!

  • More David Frost please! He rocks.
