@Rerturf The slim doesn't have an problems like you have heard. If what you are referring to is the disc scratching it is because that retard moved the console while the disc was spinning. If anything get the Slim, its a better deal.

they will send a repaired xbox, but not a Jasper. You will get a better version of the one you had. Microsoft isnt repairing the damaged 360 with Jasper Motherboards.

Anyway, yes, the Jaspers will supposedly take care of the RRoD. The graphics chip is imbedded deeper in the motherboard than non-Jasper units, and that's what caused the problem.

jaspers are NOT even 1 year old so give it a little bit more time, they will start to fail soon. The internal design of the console has not changed, the only thing that changed was the size of gpu and cpu, the rest is the same.

A jasper is a xbox with a new chipset. A falcon has an old chipset. To find a jasper look through the hole on top of the box if it says 12.1A You got a jasper. Jaspers are less likely to get the red ring.

yes, all models are jaspers anywhere they sell. (except for like swap meets that sell old models or if you buy one in the back of an old storage room where they keep old ones)

but yeah, it's pretty safe to get one now. my new jasper hasn't had any problems

my old falcon only lasted 6 months and started having problems 2 days after i got it. but i got my jasper almost 4 months ago and it hasn't even had a single problem (only when my hard drive is loose then it'll restart but that's about it)

My Jasper is quieter than the Falcon. Repaired Xboxes dont come with the Jasper board. Microsoft upgrades the Disc drive and repairs ur xbox 360. The reason microsoft replaces the disc drive is for Pirating issues. the Disc drive you have now is harder to hack.

All you need to find is to look through the hole in the Xbox 360 box and look for the 12.1A.

(12V----12.1A:5V----1A). See that and your pretty much guaranteed a Jasper.
