The graphics on this game are really awesome. I run a 3.33ghz Core 2 Duo processor (overclocked slightly to 3.8ghz) 3 GB of ddr2 ram and a 9600 GS0 DDR2 1GB graphics card (very affordable) all on a Rampage Formula motherboard and ...yikes. This game (single player) gives me the creeps. Really well designed game that takes you back to Chernobyl. I recommend it. It's not an exciting game per se, but you really get into it. There are 7 endings, 2 of them are better than the last 5. Non linear.

If U have two primary weapons U can circulate them with the primary weapon button. Buy a long range rifle at the base, drop it and buy a short range weapon too and pick up the dropped one. The buy&drop&pick up system is also useful to get more ammo or/and armor. When U reach the 3 level. Buy an SEVA suit and an night vision. Switch on the NVS & buy an army suit. The picture type of NVS will not change until U switch it off. It is good for a dark maps or a "night play".

@Banananaish your playing with mostly russian players,thats why.x ray engine is not really good when it comes to multilayer

@Banananaish might be that you lag, or they lag. when you play multiplayer in ANY game you want your ping to be below 100. 150 is where lag starts to bother you. and 250 is HORRIBLE lag.

singleplayer works fine but cannot play online. says that i have unknown game version. i have 1.006 and the server was runnig the same so can this be fixed. can the reason be that i'm not using the original cd but "no cd no dvd" from game copy word.. i do have the actual game but not just like to use the cd cause it's in pretty bad condition.. so fellow stalkers does anyone have fix to this.. would finally like to try the online game too.

I buy the game, I have heard that you can not play in multiplayer mode with an illegal copy (in this game), I have the original, but there are no servers in my country, impossible to play well on distant servers, anyway...

the singleplayer mode in this game is fantastic! with an illegal copy you can play it perfectly, is a great game!

Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch moved have unlimited ammo by default. You only need to buy bullets for Artifact hunt mode gameplay.
