True, snack's are crucial for weight control and good to keep blood sugar leveled. They say 6 smaller meals a day, but it's hard because our life style's. I also use a smaller plate, it's psychological mind bending. You put less and your mind think's it's having more of a full meal lol.
To the person who said you shouldn't eat rice or pasta at all...not true. Whole grain rice and pasta are actually VERY healthy for you, and whole grain fiber is very important for your diet. AND you do need carbs from whatever source for fueling your brain.
For me, I really like to stretch and do 50 crunches first thing in the morning as soon as I wake up. It really takes only about 1 minute! Sometimes I have to fight myself to do it, but it gives you a rush of energy, gets your metabolism/endorphins going and already puts that mindset first thing in the am for you to be conscious about your body and what you choose to eat after that.... a little tip, but definitley helps!!

here's another good advice :) drink a big glass of water before you eat, so you are not that hungry and you get full earlier ;)

i eat non fat yogurt as a snack, an apple and a serving of bran cereal EVERY day no matter what. they are really good for metabolism.
i have non fat milk and cero colories on liquids.
i dont eat anything fried,
i use herbs and seasonings like curry, oregano, garlic, onion, pickles or mustard of greasy dressings like mayonese or ketchup.
i dont drink much alcohol
those are some of the things i normally do, im not in a diet but im used to eat healthy so is just common.
