More details about Devi Kanya Kumari and her Representation as Universal Mother who rule over Three Great Civilisations namely Kumari Kandham, Lemuria and Atlantis. We Will Be Glad To Share The Knowledge Given To Us By Devi To The Sincere Seekers! No Regards To Religion, Race and Culture.
The sacred chastity fire which was ignited by Devi Kanya Kumari since she was invoked by the usage of great bow Astra Banu Sutra @ Astra Benu Sutra! By our Great Master! Reached the climax on 10/07/10 when all the devoted Disciples gathered with determination to undergo the sacred oath taking ceremony in front of the holy Fire. -- omsreeneenat@gmail.com
Just returned from Kanyakumari... mindblowing place. The sand at the beach has 3 colors because of the sediments deposited by the confluence of 3 water bodies. Just standing at the cape and staring at the sunset/sunrise and watching the silhouette of Vivekananda rock memorial is an experience of a lifetime
@geobeats well depends on what you are looking for. If its natural beauty then the state of Kerala, often called "God's own Countr" is nearby and you have everything from lush tropical jungle to pristine backwaters. My recommended places in Kerala are Kovalam for beaches, Allapey for backwater cruises, Munnar for hills, and Thekkady for dense tropical jungle
@chaoticdays The district also has other places of Historic Importance...
1.The Travancore Palace(was once the capital of the entire South India...)
2.The Medicinal mount(supposed to hav a part in the great Epic of Ramayana...)
3.The Hanuman temple (said to house a Floating pillar...)
4.The Bagvati Temple @ d shores of Kanyakumari (said to be covered coz d Sparkle of d deity's crown diamond is said to hav confused sailors hundreds of nautical miles away...) n many more invitin places...
@geobeats There is a ferry to visit the Vivekananda rock and the 133 ft statue of Thiruvalluvar, opened on Jan 1, 2000, which is hundreds of feet away from the seashore. The Rock is name after Swami Vivekananda since he spent few days in meditation after his Chicago conference. There are many tourist attractions in this southern tip of India which resembles Key West in USA.

@chaoticdays wow, that's great. Are there other towns nearby that you'd suggest or is Kanyakumari the main attraction in the area?

This closer to my native place in the southern tip of India. Your video only has some pictures and not video clips.

@russelocd you are lucky to have that as your native place! As a local, what particular activities would you suggest to visitors?
