Each time I watch the scene where Anne Hathaway gets into a shouting match with her mom in the living room gets me to start weeping. And then Anne's mom punches her in the face and then Anne smacks her mom in the face as hard as she can and storms out of the house. In the next shot Anne is almost delirious and crying hysterically while driving the car through the road sign. I've felt that kind of suicidal despair a few times in my life. Fortunately I got over it.
