I think cats pupils dilate like that when they are scared because i was talking to a cat that was a little scared and its pupils dilated and then i watched a video of someone making noises and the cats pupils dilated then i watched this one now i think that cats pupils do that when they are scared
@IndigoCat17 it's a semi voluntary hunting response that cats have. They dilate their pupils to allow as much light in as possible for the best visual acuity. you'll always see a cat's eyes dilate fully just before they pounce on something.
