To the ones who love this type of stories, I will recommend you to read the original book, "Lancelot ou Le Chevalier de la charrette," you can buy it in english(amazon) as a part of all the stories written by Chrétien de Troyes, you won't regret it !! there you will also find Parzival's story, eventhough I recommend the german version for this last one (it is the extended version , by W.von Eschenbach).

He doesn't want to, but his advisors said he would look weak for not following the law. Lancelot saves her from being burned, but it's never happily ever after. She usually ends up in a convent at the end.
@123hoythere the movie is actually about lancelot's story not arthur.. since the beginning of the movie, you saw lancelot when he was a kid and got recruit to be a finest knight

Guinevere, Queen of Camelot and wife of King Arthur and Lancelot, Arthur's most trusted Knight.
In the legends, Arthur and Guinevere married each other more out of duty than love. Lancelot and Guinevere actually fell for one another.
