  • Wow! So many of you who claim to be teachers, spell horribly.

  • Who else is uncomfortable by the innacuracy of the class of kids they use in this video? Am i supposed believe that if i use an eno board in class all of my students will raise their hands whenever i ask a question and will be comfortable in front of one another? advertisement and education has no place together, deception is contrary to the ideals of education(though perhaps not necessarily of schooling).

  • I have and old school blackboard, what you gonna do know?

  • I have this in most of my classrooms lol

  • I like a smart board more

  • I HAVE A SMARTBOARD BUT WHAR IS THIS?

  • I HAVE THIS IN MY CLASS ROOM!

  • Nothing a SMART board cannot do. But they can do far more. Pinch and zoom with your fingers, just like an iPAD or Smartphone and Multitouch.

  • we got these in my classroom like 2 weeks aho and some clickers today but it sucks its not really all perfect like it says the battery always dies sometimes it doent wanna work and the pen takes like 10 min to turn on!

  • (@Uriel6178 So did my school!!!) My teacher is sooo AMAZED! He loves technoligy and He enjoy's teaching US!! i think it's a good way to learn!

  • My school got these put in last year during winter break, theyre amazing and super easy to use.

  • I GOTS 1 IN HOMEROOM

  • we have one in are classroom

  • My school just finished putting a smart board in each room, now they are replacing them all with these thing... good old school system

  • my science class has one of these, its cool

  • I'm gonna get one of those soon!

  • my algebra class just got one of these they are sweet. we were stopping videos on unitedstreaming and drawing on peoples faces. lol so funny.

  • Incredible advancements in learning! Sweet product Polyvision.

  • I still think the smart board is nice.

  • Wont see that in the "Ghetto", but I love it!!! Need better tech in our schools!!!

  • @mannyphresh1 actually you will. My girlfriend works in a place you would probably call "the ghetto" and her whole school just got one.

  • wow i guess this is the future of learning for our generations to come they probably would take an electronic board home and thats where they eould put their homework and we wouldnt have to carry a bavkpack that weights tons of mass life would be much easier !!!

  • Wow, this is awesome! I wish my college uses interactive whiteboards. My college generally uses regular whiteboards and sometimes blackboards. Having interactive whiteboards in colleges and universities, as well as grade, middle and high schools would be awesome.

  • Hot spots are common on this type of whiteboard. Most whiteboards that support Expo markers, have a surface that shines brightly from the LCD projector. This surface was not designed for an LCD projector.

There is a manufacturer that provides an interactive whiteboard that is both digital and Expo marker friendly, and does not show LCD projector hotspots. Check out the eInstruction DualBoard.

  • the eno is a great board compared to the SmartBoard or the ActivBoard. The best part is that there are no cords.

  • You have never seen anything like Eno. It's amazing!!!

  • Ms. Bailey's hot.

  • Hotspots are commonplace with any interactive whiteboard, especially if you are using a projector on a cart or table. A properly installed ceiling projector will solve any problems you may be having. A short throw wall mount is also an ideal solution. This board is completely wireless through the eno stylus. Any wireless bluetooth adapter for competing whiteboards cost $200+ where the stylus is available for around $150-$165.

  • i really cannot cope with hi tech that could help us disabled; yet is available only to certain groups...

  • Well then, that's your choice.

Suggest another option or shut your pie hole you wanker.

  • Here are the findings of our Sci Club students.

The group that did calculation predicted that, no ceiling mount position could eliminate hot spot for all regular student seating positions. That is true also for shortthrow projector.

The data collected by the the group that conducted the experiement is consistant with the calculated prediction. They observed strong hot spots in large number of student seatings, both from regular projector and short throw projector mounted on the ceiling.

  • With the short throw projector, a proper one such as the CPA52, the hot spot would be gone at three feet from the board.

Now I know classrooms are getting crowded, but noone sits that close.

Trust me, I've done MANY of these.

  • This makes a perfect project for my Sci Club kids. Let's see what they could find about the hot spots.

  • Looking forward to hearing their findings.

  • They are working on it. I asked the students to guess if hot spot could be eliminated with projector positioning, and got all kinds of answers.

They are now working in 2 groups, one to use theroy to forecast, the other to design and conduct experiement. We'll meet next week to compare results.

  • I have a friend who knows someone at Polyvision. She said, ENO is good for frequent switch between regular whiteboard and brief IWB projection.

Currently, they are unable to reduce the hotspot low enough for extended interactive projection use. The hotspot could not be eliminated by mere projector positioning, not even with the new short-throw type.

  • Looks great, except the projected image on the board looks fainted. Wondering why?

  • Maybe it is the surface material? Does it have a thin layer of glass on top?

  • So it may reflect light like a mirror?

  • The image in this video looks the way it does due to the filming of the video - we needed to make it light enough to see the students and teacher as well as show the image on the board. The image looks spectacular in person.

  • how raw would it be to have

one of these in your room?

  • I love this. My sister is a teacher, and she just got one in her class room.

  • Does she notice any hot spot on the projection image?

  • Yes, the hot spot is really bad. My eyes hurt after a few minutes of viewing the image on the board.

  • Did you mean it hurt the teacher standing by the board, or the students watching from their seats?

  • Students at their usual seating positions. I moved around and found no escape of the hot spot.

  • your projector is too bright, is 1 cause

for this small of an image from this short distance 1,500 lumens would be more than enough, while most are using 2000- 3000 lumens projectors. and the fact that this surface is extremely reflective, hot spots are going to happen..just the nature of white erase boards.

  • The hot spot can be an issue if the projector is on a table or cart - not only will there be a hot spot there this will be a large shadow when using the board. This would be the case for any surface. I would recommend that the projector be mounted in the ceiling or that you use a short-throw projector. This will virtually eliminate any hot spot or shadow.

  • That is not true. You get hot spot enve when using ceiling mounted projector, like in my classroom.

  • i saw this at BETT education show 2009, it looks pretty decent, no hassle of wires the ease of dry wipe pens and a lifetime warranty on the board. the only downside is the pen, eno works because the pen contains a camera which is connected via bluetooth to the projector. However this pen costs $200 to replace because of the technology inside it which makes ENO work.

    ENO > SMARTBOARD&PROMETHIAN

  • Yes, the surface of the board has a forever warranty, there are no cords, and it uses dry erase markers and magnets. The eno digital pen has a two year warranty. If the pen were not working after two year warranty was up the cost to replace would be approx $200. The board will still be able to be used with dry erase markers so teachers will not lose their board. If a competitors board goes down after their warranty is up you have to replace the whole board. this is much more expensive.

  • This looks great for elementary school, but what about higher ed? Our students might balk at being asked to use magnets as locators--they're "too sophisticated". Other than the lack of cables, why is this better than a SmartBoard with Smart software?

  • What sets ēno apart from the competition is that we are offering a Forever Warranty e3 environmental ceramicsteel surface that is completely interactive, but doesnt require any wires or power.ēno combines all three modes of teaching on one board:traditional dry-erase writing, use of manipulatives for time-tested student problem solving, and interactive performance.MBDC C2C Silver Certification and Indoor Air Advantage Gold status, its the most environmentally advanced writing surface in the world.

  • So cool

  • This is a very interesting and innovative concept. I would hope that this would be used in conjunction with traditional teaching methods, and not as a stand-alone product as shown in the video. Children are already so exposed to technology, and I think textbooks are still an effective method of learning. This seems like a cool learning enhancement though. One question I have is whether or not the white board captures what you write on it, either by print out or by computer?

  • Thank you for your comment. This is definitely a board that is meant to be used in conjunction with other traditional teaching methods. Being able to use dry-erase markers and magnets on the eno board is a huge plus. I would also like to let you know that you can capture whatever is written on the board with the digital ink and any images that you are writing over. So basically, if you are projecting an image on the board and annotate over it you can save it as a file, or print it.
