Lol, poor Danny, he made so many mistakes the first time! Thanks so much for posting! I love listening to this and seeing how their live performance of it evolved.
Yeah, he made mistakes.. but hey, it just shows that not even Danny Elfman is perfect!
I particularly like this not only for the 'historic' significance of it, but also for how pretty Danny's voice is in this version. I love his singing in general, but when it's higher pitched and 'bird-like', like this, I really enjoy it (incidentally, my actual pet birds seem to like it, too).
I sure have! But they only seem to react to his singing, I can't get a peep out of them when I play one of his compositions.
One of them seems to be the bigger Danny/Boingo fan in particular; the male and younger of the two, "Melbourne".
P.S. Both of them are cockatiels, and the older one, the female, is "Sydney". Yes, I'm a dork, I named them after major Aussie cities, and I do plan naming the next one "Canberra".
That is so cute! I don't think that's dorky naming them after Aussie cities. That sounds like something I would do! In fact, I have done that, lol. My animals have some weird names. Do you have a picture of them I could see?
I don't have any on file, but I can whip out my digital camera and e-mail some pictures to you. They're both adorable, and Melbourne is particularly pretty.
Okay, I trust you, ;) But that's not as weird as a cat I had once, "Porschia." Sounds and spelled similar to the car, but having nothing to do with it.
Lol, thank you! We've had Cairo and Saqqara, those were fun ones. But, the weirdest possibly would be a beta I had that I called Bela Lugosi. I really couldn't help myself, lol.
Marry me Danny!!

Wow, I just realized why this version sounds strange: No horns.

Can't argue with that. He does so many things with his voice, it's amazing. How cute! You've made Boingo/Danny fans out of your birds! Lol.

P.P.S. I stand corrected, I just played the 5th and 6th movements from "Serenada Schizophrana" and little Mel REALLY reacted.

Thanks! I love cockatiels and well, animals in general, lol. So trust me when I say, some of them have place names, too.

I know. Danny Elfman is both the absolutely coolest and thoroughly dorkiest person alive. "Awesome" only begins to describe him.
