Beautiful stunt ship. It is inspiring to see that people are still building these works of art. Last time I saw a Skylark fly was at the Modeler's Association of Trinidad and Tobago meet in Trinidad in early 70's. Control-line stunt was one of pinnacles of model aviation , not only in the flying but innovation in building and finishing. Great work. Can you post some details about the model ?
A lovely aircraft, beautifully crafted. A fellow member of our society made an identical craft which also flew a treat. yours performs wonderfully well and take off and landing are excellent. As I was told by my Dad, if a jobs worth doing its worth doing well. And that is no less true in the Hobby and interest arena than it is Profesionally.
As for metal4ever1965 sour remarks, all I can say is, "grow up", or as they say in the US "give the guy a break, budee!"
Every time I see this much detail put on a model, I am tempted to suggest that the builder should take up a hobby or something. All my best paint jobs have been done in a day or so! Mostly using automotive aerosols. What do I know though? I only judged at the Nationals twice......
@SuperAviatar Seeing as we have snow here in canada for 6 months of the year ,and its too cold to fly... ya, i typically put more hrs in to the paint jobs. I also like to IMPROVE each time i build a model...but if one day paint jobs are doing it 4 u thats fine.( which is probley why your judging the nats instead of flying in them) And as a judge u shoud know by now that Appearance is 40 points of your score, and 20 if ur in the usa nationals.
nice plane.all of your planes are very detailed.i dont really go crazy with detailing my planes unless its one of those planes where it has to be gorgess in everything form the controls to the looks
