Hi Doug, My husband and I just finished watching your documentary and we were extremely excited to see that Devin has improved greatly. I was crying the entire time because I was overjoyed to see him fight and see his improvement. I was also happy to see that your family is so together and willing to give the support and love necessary in order to better and ultimately heal Devin's condition entirely. It is so sad to know that our own country will turn its greedy back on one of its own. <3

words can't describe what this family feels, the fact that they not only are handling it very well, they are all putting their own lives on hold to rehabilitate him, FAMILY is truly a bond that can't be broken, in the dark, there is always light, but you can't find it unless you let your eyes adjust, this family has adjusted and it may sound messed up to say, but this incident, as tradgic as it is, has actually brought the family much closer, when he's better, they'll be much stronger.

I just finished watching the documentary & I have to admit I was teared up the entire movie. I've been through similar situations but with less positive outcomes & it was so amazing to watch someone push so hard through it all. I just can't even believe how awesome Devin is & how tough he is. I wish him & his family all of the best. You're all so luck to have so much love surrounding you.

I am an acupuncture student graduating in June and even though I am well aware of what this medicine can do, it still never ceases to amaze me. @captaindougd Thanks for your work. It is inspiring. Sadly most people in the US simply think taking pills and having surgery is the end all for health care. This is a wonderful account of your not just Devin's trials, tribulations, and triumphs but also those of your family. I'm sorry I could not attend the presentaton this evening at the Church. I can certainly understand your difficulty with the insurance company...we deal with it on near daily basis.
