  • Neil for supreme ruler of the world 2012.

  • I click on neil's face if i see it in the recommended before i click on tits, true story

  • Go Degrasse Tyson! Represent scientists and engineers like us!

  • @sameer137

You're a scientist and engineer? Do you believe the official September 11 story that fire & gravity erased three Zionist leased skyscrapers from Manhattan, each one at or near the rate of free-fall acceleration?

  • Not only in the room....

  • @ptango666 Absolutely!

  • he is absolutely right.

  • Comment removed

  • Bourdain is so baked.

  • Look out, we're dealing with a smart-ass over here.

  • One of the videos on the sidebar is "Why aren't Chimps still evolving into Humans?".

*starts repeatedly punching an imaginary person in the face*

  • He might be the smartest man, but he isn't citing any evidence about the effectiveness of different political systems.

  • @Okaruwazashi so what that wasn`t his argument. his argument was

there a lot of arguwing and no coming too a ansore (forgive me if i spelled that wrong its late and i`m sleepy as all hell)

  • @deathwatch1980

I just got a bit of a vibe that his opinion was somehow supposed to be a good one just because he's "smart".

  • @Okaruwazashi he is smart. but being smart and being good at a debat is not the same thing

  • @deathwatch1980 Well you don't have to be smart to be right. Knowledge is more important than raw brain power.

  • @Okaruwazashi

Raw brain power consumes more knowledge passively.

  • @Okaruwazashi

I think he is alluding to the ineffectiveness of the political system with choosing rhetoric over what is seen as evident.

  • The Coolest Smartest man!

  • Search for Thomas Sowell, Left - Right video... and you are going to understand why so many parasi....s.t...o sorrry, lawyersss....

  • 1:29 YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH WHEN NEIL TYSON IS TALKING

  • It's the exact same situation here in Ireland...and look at all the shit were in.

  • Sounds like someone should become a politician when he's done with physics. Problem is most scientists like him are too busy and devoted to REAL truth, they'd be heartbroken and demoralised if they entered into the realm of political 'truth'.

  • i would totally suck both of neil degrasse tyson's dicks

  • this whole panel IMO is full of extremely bright individuals touching topics that should be discussed by our actual "politicians" Too bad Congress cant peaceably come to conclusions that are of sound and reason, no with them its all money, money, money, me, me, me, mine, mine, mine! then vote time comes and its all about the voters opinions, elections are done and its right back to the same old routine...

  • Oh, come on! The title isn't even close to fair. You could pick any room with Neil DeGrasse Tyson in it and say the exact same thing.

  • Lol. the reason they're all lawyers is because they, like all others from a formal studying institution, have convinced all the laypeople only they know what's true regarding their professed area of study. a stupid, presumptuous person can become a professor or professional in any field by writing concisely and rhetorically on their topic and persuaing their teachers they seem to be like-minded on the subject. a professor=a cunning or desperate person. nothing more, necessarily.

  • @Sudhish86 Except in, you know, the sciences. Well, the hard sciences.

  • @Rywen, even there. there is obviously no regard for real philosophy in the profession of science today; otherwise they wouldn't focus on naturalism. science was originally the application of inferences into systems whose nature corresponds to the inference. Now, it focuses on what can be proven concretly(inherently naturalistic).

    It is all vain presumption...

  • @Sudhish86 Yet you yourself just made a presumption that naturalism is wrong. You must also then challenge the process of empiricism because it's exactly what led us to naturalism. What then would you suggest outside the focus of observation could be used as evidence? Or are you a solipsist of sorts and completely deny that knowledge is even possible? The bottom line is that empiricism is the best system under which knowledge can be ascertained. Only the naive would deny that fact.

  • @Ryushihotshot, it's not a presumption. naturalism itself assumes that which we percieve through the five senses is the extent to which "knowledge" can exist. also, knowledge is a compulsion. you don't know something it it's just a mere conclusion, but if you're compelled by something else to yield to it. therefore, empiricism=/=naturalism. you ignore what happens in your own mind, which is the main reference for approaching knowledge...

  • @Sudhish86 Knowledge is just the word we use for our observations through those perceptions - WHICH IS EMPIRICISM. The knowledge that exists outside the mind is really the source of which we are observing - the source is the truth, and our observation of it is knowledge. Whether or not we correctly see it has no relevance to whether or not it exists. You also haven't shown an alternate to these systems of knowledge.

  • @Ryushihotshot, because I haven't attempted to? as I said, empiricism=/=naturalism, meaning "does not equal". with that, one would suppose I am advocating the same thing you are...

  • @Sudhish86 Ive seen multy different PHD course, and trust me.

NO one, and I mean no one can bull shit their way through them.

If they dont understand them, they will fail.

    Esp things like Math.

  • @shoeupon67 You think Neil deGrasse Tyson is a dumb ass?

  • Comment removed

  • He realized it when he was 12; I realized it when I was 20. Unfortunately the great majority of the world's population, I'd say 99% of the population (including politicians themselves and including you) never realized it. Too dumb to understand it.

  • The sad thing is, there is little ever discussed in politics about the facts. It's all philosophy or persuasion in order to to arrive at a decision.Science, any science, has always been excluded. And when it isn't, it's only when coupled with the language of philosophy in order to create propoganda or make someone appear more credible. Stopping an astroid, a plague, colonizing another planet, making any true discoveries about our origins or how the universe operates, have no place in politics.

  • Lets have Neil as our first atheist senator !

  • @nsofast He's not purely an atheist, i think he's agnostic.

  • @3732334 he is an agnostic atheist as am I , as is Dawkins ,as is everyone who does not believe in god.To simply call yourself agnostic does not fly anymore. You have four choices

    agnostic atheist

    gnostic atheist

    agnostic theist

    gnostic theist

  • @nsofast what do you mean it does not fly anymore? lmao go grab a dictionary and read the difference between an agnostic and an atheist

  • @3732334 agnosticism is not, as many assume, a “third way” between atheism and theism.

You are making a very common mistake.

  • Comment removed

  • @3732334 That is exactly what I have been trying to tell you!

  • @3732334 If you tell me that you are an atheist, all you are saying is that you do not have a belief in god.

If you tell me you are an agnostic, you are saying you think the answer is ultimately unknowable.

These are answers to 2 different questions not different degrees on the same continuum.

  • @nsofast i know lol but the point im making is that being an agnostic atheist and being an atheist are two different things and have a very different definition

  • @3732334 You are incorrect

  • @3732334 Please reread your own post more carefully. If you go back to the site you clipped it from(perfectly valid thing to do, I am not busting you on that) you will see that the author is making my point not yours.

  • @nsofast what do you mean? agnostic atheist and being a pure atheist is different. thats it lol

  • @3732334 I think you mean "strong atheist"

    You are not following.

Since I am unable to post a link here it is difficult to convey the complexity of the semantic argument we are having.

I shall endeavor to come up with a google search that I can post here that will point you in the right direction. Please give me a moment.

  • @nsofast All you need is an english dictionary and find the difference of the meaning. you don't have to explain it cause thats the point im making

  • @3732334

I will not educate you against your will.

I hope you are not an atheist because you are making us look bad.

Your own post was making my point and not yours but you are unable to grasp the fact.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • @nsofast i like to call myself an agnostic atheist not purely an atheist i suggest you continue on your research of the difference have a nice day too

  • Brilliant!

  • i was like no i ran out of dawkins videos and micheo kaku videos but then i found this guy! and its all good again...next carl sagan

  • @kachekieran

Ah... but what about Hitchens, Harris ,,,

  • @tellnet ive seen a lot of harris' videos and some of hitchens...could always see more though

  • @kachekieran

Michio Kaku is the chief purveyor of quantum woo, next to Deepak Chopra.

  • From PBS to HBO.....the man is a brilliant, easy listening!!!!

  • Every other guest in the room => pwnd

  • We got a scientist. His name is Dr. Ron Paul. He gets no respect though.

  • @mikedrk he's not a scientist. he CLAIMS to be a scientist, but it's bullshit, and he deserves no respect as he has no respect for ethnic minorities, women or non-christians.

    fuck ron paul.

  • @mikedrk He is a Creationist, basically the polar opposite of science.

  • @cjs2964

Obviously you're of the Atheist faith that chance created matter. One time, or more?

Atheists also keep the faith that chance created life from matter.

Chance is chaos. Chaos is disorder. Atheist faith in chance creations is counter scientific.

  • @onefodderunit Atheism isn't a faith it's the lack of one. Creationism is a joke and Ron Paul is a fucking moron.

  • @cjs2964

Ron Paul is the only candidate campaigning on ending the bogus wars on 'terror' & drugs, and placing the Federal Reserve in check.

All Atheists are of the faith that chance materialized matter, and that chance created life from matter, and that life was never intended.

  • @onefodderunit Ending the war on drugs is his only good view. But some evolution denying, anti-abortion, anti-gay, crazy motherfucker is not fit to lead a powerfull country.

  • @cjs2964

The Federal Reserve (Zionist international bankers) has robbed the American people for 99 years into $11 Trillion + in debt.

The 19th century theory of Darwinism is one of the faiths that separates Atheistic TeeVee watchers from the rest of us who think for ourselves.

You can't admit your Atheist faith that life was never meant to be.

September 11 was a False Flag Operation by the Synagogue of Satan

  • @onefodderunit I think you forgot to take your medication today.

  • @cjs2964

Referring to two males who Sodomize each other as a 'married couple', and exterminating unborn children on demand are only symptoms of the insanity we've degenerated into. Stick to your TeeVee programming and faith that you are matter having a conscious experience.

  • @onefodderunit You are a perfect example of what is wrong with mankind.

  • @onefodderunit Drop off the face of the earth backwards man.

  • @Ievolovel

You're not very tolerant of people who recognize that getting sodomized is degrading and exterminating unborn children is cruel, mutilating murder.

  • @onefodderunit How is sodomizing someone degrading if they both want it? Your opinion doesn't matter then. Just those in the act. I could say sodomizing someone is healthy and invigorating and makes you a better person, but does that make me right? No. Nobody is right except those involved.

As for mutilating babies they are no more than a collection of cells. Nothing is alive when abortion is done. It's like cutting your nails. So many ignorant people. Not dumb. Ignorant

  • @Ievolovel

You're OK with exterminating unborn children. How Atheistic.

If your eighteen year old child said that their boyfriend wants to sodomize them, you would advise them to let him, because they might "want it"?

  • @onefodderunit

[You're OK with exterminating unborn children. How Atheistic]

Exterminating implies "to the very last fetus." It's not my business if a woman or a couple choose not to carry THEIR zygote to term. The choice to pass on their genetics to a child, and by proxy to the future, is entirely up to them.

    [boyfriend wants to sodomize them]

If it's what she also desires then, why not? She's 18, she's an adult, she can take a dick, or dick simulator, any way she likes.

  • @Dream0Asylum

Now you're following me around youtube. You're a stalker as well as a pathologically-lying Atheist fanatic.

  • @onefodderunit

Actually this video was in the related section of the other video. After I watched it and saw you still being an ignorant ass, I just couldn't resist.

If I ever caught myself following you around on purpose, I'd commit suicide due to the sheer humiliation of an individual of your low caliber taking up so much of time.

Though, it was unlikely that I'd view another video that you happened to comment on, right? Yet it still happened. Food for thought.

  • @Dream0Asylum

Your faith that matter created life once is not "supported by the evidence"

Your stupid lies are Atheistic. Soulless.

  • @onefodderunit I'm ok with aborting a birth before a baby is formed with a conscious and working body parts so as the female/male can continue their lives as normal without piling more responsibilities upon all the crazy ass ones we have in the GO GO GO age.

As for sodomization of my non-existent 18yr old... I don't think any daughter of 18 would ask that question... or if they were any age. They would just do it, and 18 is old enough to make your own decisions.

  • @Ievolovel

Babies are exterminated long after their hearts and brains form. Women who have abortions are far more likely to commit suicide than women who give birth.

If your son or daughter were getting sodomized, you don't believe it would harm their dignity as long as they consented.

    You're soulless.

  • @onefodderunit If women who have abortions are more likely to commit suicide, then all you can do is to inform her of it - since it is her body and her zygot she is free to do as she pleases. You should in no way stand in her way of making her choice, all you can do is present her with facts and let her make her dicission.

Same thing with sodomy - if a couple has the facts at hand and still choose to go through with the act, get out of their way. It's their choice.

  • @NoFantasy

You keep calling babies 'zygots'. Is that Hebrew?

  • @onefodderunit Zygot comes from Greek. It is the very beginning of a baby, a sperm and an egg that has just come together.

  • @onefodderunit Get out of the dark ages crack head.

  • @onefodderunit *cough* freewill *cough*

  • @ Balkanrhapsody hahahhaah!!! I see what you did there!!!! XD

  • How did that mug stay standing?

  • ron paul was a doctor..

  • @lilbeaveymac And a racist.

  • @lilbeaveymac Ron Paul was a physician, not a scientist. But yeah, he's ok...

  • @tomasusan ron paul is not ok...

  • Watch out, we've got a badass astrophysicist over here !

  • Seven lawyers viewed this video.

  • Yes, but what does Anthony Bourdain have to say?!

  • The 7 people who pressed dislike in this video, are all studying Law to become United States Congress men

  • Ron Paul is a medical doctor...Recognize!!!

  • @DarthDefiler

What does that have to do with anything? Seriously you Ron Paul supporters are becoming the pests of youtube lol.

  • @HDaviator "Damn it, Walter! What does any of this have to do with Vietnam, man?!"

Well the video is about how most people in Congress are lawyers and business men, right? I was merely illustrating how yet again Paul is the exceptional exception to the status quo.,,,Or if you prefer I mean to say 'Haters gonna hate.'

  • @DarthDefiler

The fact that he is a medical doctor means nothing when he doesn't believe in Evolution. That means he ignores mainstream science and evidence which is perhaps worse than a lawyer of businessman that believes in evolution and is up to date in the with science.

  • @DarthDefiler He is just one of a few non-lawyers in politics, which is a shame as you would want Government to reflect society. Most people are far too honest & truthful to enter politics, to garner votes by making promises you will not be keeping is beyond the morality of good people.

  • He's one of my favourite people in the world right now.

  • woah Tyson is angry!

  • Being elected into power within the US revolves solely around one issue and that is Believing in a GOD !

  • of course they went to law school. only lowyers can lie that much and still believe they know whats best for you

  • Thanks Jesus! Our savior of sense has cometh!

  • @Andysingtoyou "The creator" saw fit to drown the entire planet when we didn't do what we were told. If there's one thing we need to improve as a species, it's not an evil dictator who solves problems with global genocide.

  • @GofreMcNoodle The story of Noah's Ark was a fabrication of a Jewish author to teach the lesson to follow God's directions, and you will be saved. God didn't kill people then, just like he doesn't now.

  • @343GuiltySparkO4 Actually off the top of my head, God gets bears to kill over 40 children for insulting a bald man in the Book of Kings, and then there's the lovely events in the time of Moses like the drowning of the Pharaoh's army and the killing of every first-born son. Or is the entire old testament a collection of jewish metaphors?

  • @Andysingtoyou Blithering uneducated idiot you.

  • @Andysingtoyou you're a fucking fool. it's thanks to the masses of slabbering imbeciles like you that fuckwits like members of the bush family, or fucking insane hollywood actors get elected into the white house.

you are a pox on our species.

  • Neil DeGrasse Tyson for Senate!

  • @spencerhitch66 fuck that, Neil Tyson for PRESIDENT!

  • @spencerhitch66 I'd vote for him.

  • @spencerhitch66 If we put him in the senate he could no longer say what he wants. He is better off doing what he is doing; which is making everyone who he can reach think. That is what we need from our generations. Thought and progress. He is the Epitome of both.

  • Where are the scientists and engineers in politics? They're off doing *real* work.

  • @Direkin sorry but most engineers work in finance nowadays =(

  • @RedAtlasman No offense, but that's not even remotely true.

  • @tomasusan yeah.. pulling information out of one's ass is the half ass approach to engaging in conversation here in youtube :/. It's all really sad. (and i'm not talking about you i'm talking about the guy you responded too)

  • >Neil Defresse Tyson: The Smartest Man in EVERY Room

    FTFY

  • Tony over here looking like he needs a drink.

  • if only he was running for president.

  • Fuckin' A

  • WATCH OUT, WE GOT A BAD ASS OVER HERE!

  • The engineers, scientists, business people are too busy solving real world problems to sit around and argue about things that don't really matter.

  • @Aeosix Remember, the problem emerges in this congress. If the bright and intelligent are put in a position to not create a problem, they would agree not to do so. I'll top off with an example: we all know war was started because of oil. If the engineers, scientists, and businessmen were put in the position, I'm sure that with the the cooperation of these new people in congress, they would say:"No, there's a lot of better solutions for energy instead of oil, the whole universe if ours."

  • @Aeosix And a second thought to this: All these bright and brilliant people are solving problems, but if they do not take control of that which creates the problem, they will be working all their lives to solve problems that keep storming in. There will never be a resolute solution to the problems created by these foolish idiots who apparently think they rule the world.

  • Has NDT ever made a bad point?

  • @joslinnick right, most dont even have to watch the clip to know they are going to like what they hear

  • Politics and law is mostly full of bull shit.

  • NDT always has the greatest point! Why can't more world leaders be like him, THINK OF HOW FAR OUR SOCIETY WILL BE RIGHT NOW!

  • He makes a great point. We have a recipe for conflict and gridlock. Unfortunately in Congress there is no judge or jury that can get directly involved to inject some reason into the equation.

  • 4 lawyers didn't like this video.

  • @NinkasiDelight I think you missed the point.....

  • I feel stupid in the shadow of this mans wisdom.

  • Ron Paul, Doctor

  • Technocracy is a form of government in which science would be in control of all decision making. Scientists, engineers and technologists who have knowledge, expertise or skills would compose the governing body, instead of politicians, businessmen and economists. In a technocracy, decision makers would be selected based upon how knowledgeable and skillful they are in their field. Currently, no country has adopted this system of governance.

  • @Cebukid888 wow, thanks for pointing this out : ) I've actually never heard the term before, would be great (although highly unrealistic) if one or more nations would adopt this form of government.

  • I could watch this all day just because of how ridiculously true it is. WHERE IS THE REST OF LIFE REPRESENTED?

  • I carved a dildo out of a huge stick of velveeta

  • @jiroumochidzuki

that's not going to be underlined in red nor make it to the front page.

  • Watch out people,we got a badass over here.

  • Neil Degrasse Tyson for president. Fuck Americans economy, we'll rebuild on the moon!

  • @Mills88 Not before he builds an army of worker robots to bring about a golden era of mankind, only to be murdered by fanatics who claim that Jesus said he didn't like robots.

  • the whole wide room

  • scientists are just too smart to be politicians

  • we had an engineer for a president once, but that was in 1930 and the world economy was already fucked.

  • The difference between Tyson and other smart people is that Tyson is also WISE.

  • “Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber.” - Plato

  • @1point61803

That doesn't sound like a Plato quote.

  • @1point61803 well shit, now when i wonder why i deal with all this bullshit, I finally have reason for it.

  • @1point61803 Damn, nice quote!

  • Agree 100%
