  • Why isnt this music glorified like this in the states?!

  • Well it's called energy hense the title in quotes

  • She is great.

Does anyone know the name of this band or the song?

    yY1tMox6ZfU

  • 吹薩克斯風的女人 好美.....

  • 1:26 - Love this part...

  • LINDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • OMG simply beautiful.

  • Muito boa essa Japonezinha e além do mais muito gata e toca muito , queria essa gatinha lá em casa.

  • Could anybody tell me if she´s ok? OMG she´s terrific..!

  • Vaya con la xina toca bien el saxofon eee jupe me gusta me gusta!!! :)

  • Una verdadera chulería...

  • i want to see her blow my sax..

  • I just ordered her book Golden Best! It should be comming soon! I also play alto and I am almost as good as her! I just need to work on growling a little better.

  • Wish she'd come to Britain. Wonderful talent. Really lives what she plays. X

  • @batmonger I second that. Please come to UK

  • i want to see her live!!!!!!!!

  • this girl is one bad saxaphone player, tim h. hawaii what do you think about her?

  • thats a yamaha 82z unlaquered w/ lebayle mouthpiece

  • Great music.... does America have anyone today that can play this well... Bravo... Great music... mucho gracais to YouTube and chihiromania for making this great music available to everyone and exposing Americans to a female from Japan who does an outstanding job playing the sax....

  • Wow, I was going to start playing the alto sax in elementary school band (Long time ago; I'm 19 now), but it was too expensive to rent back then so I never got into any instruments. :( This REALLY makes me wish I had been able to take it up as a child. heh...

  • @Aikidopoi Come on!! Not late at all:) I am 29 and I started a year ago. You are only 19!!

  • bravissima

  • I wish Kaori Kobayashi would come to Canada to perform . She is fantastic.

  • So whos better?

    Kaori Kobayashi or Charlie Parker?

  • @mmbnstarforce are you kidding? There is no comparison....Kaori plays well.....but she isn't arguably the best in her instrument amongst contemporary artists....no way can you compare the great innovator C-Park whom worked with inferior instruments and equipment. C-Park makes it possibly for Kaori to exist....not the other way around. Just listen and enjoy the music. But I'll say if you like this sound....check out Gerald Albright....Najee to name a few.

  • @mmbnstarforce Her style is more contemporary, there is no comparison. She is playing in a modern Funk, C. Parker INVENTED bebop. Now those 2 genres are totally different, no comparison between the two musicians.

  • very nice you is good player!good chance!pop

  • amazing I cant stop listening!!!!

Im gonna buy the golden hits album of hers!

  • I just love Kaori!!! She is so talented and her music is so much fun. Does anybody have the sheet music or the notes for this song? I would love to play it. Please and thanks! :D

  • RRDJazz, I thought the same dang thing!!

  • cute

  • DONOTTAWAGUITAR

  • Great...but it seem like a ripoff of Bill Champlin/George Benson "Turn You Love Around"...still very nice, though!

  • @RRDJazz that is exactly what I was thinking a rip off of george bensons turn your love around ..I've enjoyed this song and this girl for years and knew there was something about this song that sounded terribly familar ..not just a slight familiarity but like a full blown rip off

You can buy the DVD Go to her web site and select English It should take you to the right place.

  • ilove you kobayashi...very very good!

  • I can't help but notice how miniature she is... she holds the alto like a tenor! But she's amazing with the thing, all funny looks aside.

  • TE QUIERES CASAR CONMIGO KAORI?

  • good..

  • nice..

  • is excelent

  • but, nobody can play good in this stupid condition,

We say " No Energy" space!!

    Don' we?

  • I love her performances, she is an inspiration to me on the Alto Sax.

  • @pinklime09 Yeah kaori kobayashi is a inspiration same for me

  • are you truly that short sighted?

why must you judge people. are you a beginner at the sax or something, because your ears must suck

  • go look at her other stuff idiot.

  • Why do "people" like you say things like that?

  • shes beauiful and the way she play.. wew!

  • I'm not a huge sax enthusiast, but that's a great sound IMO :)

  • great - beautiful playing - very good !

    i like it very much

  • taken aback and such...why not exellent

  • if any of you budding sax players want to get anyway near as good as this girl, you need to spend a lot of time on arpeggios and scales and i mean a lot of time, at least 2 hours a day. it might be boring but after a short time you we feel the difference. the sax is the best, adios amigo.

  • thanks for the tip, appreciate it

  • your welcome , if you need any help with the sax just let me know. keep on blowing.. adios

  • sax is one of the best instruments but a lot are tied with it

  • sax is so versatile you may be tied to it but you are not tied to one style of music unlike the oboe, and for buddism!! what ever floats your boat..... adios amigo-a

  • oboe is just as versatile u may not know it but lots of people like and play jazz oboe and etc

  • sure oboe, il agree to desagree on that.. take care amigo/a adios.

  • no seriously there are lots of them!

  • had a look on utube and found some jazz oboe ,,,,,, i apologise oboe... ps it is very good but saxophone is still the best. ........... adios oboe and dont 4get to practise your scales.........

  • yah i agree but also love jazz oboe but sax is better when it comes to jazz but thx for seeing my opinion, finally someone who isn't ignorant like 1/2 the people on youtube but not all

  • I do jazz clarinet and sax and 4-5 hours was recommended to me :D

I suggest getting your paws on some of the Jamie Aebersold collection. Load of standards and exercises, all with professional backing tracks. Cheers, my fellow winds :)

  • maybe i should keep my sax on the locker,,,this girl is amazing!!! i love it

  • Muito loko !!!!!!!

  • Graciozno!!!!!!!!

  • Fabulosoo !!

  • oh an its an alto sax

  • she is soooo good playing, i wanna go to a gig

  • Whta type of sax is this??

  • alto

  • alto

  • to be specific---it is an alto with the sound of a Mark VI selmer and a mouthpiece with a WInslow Ligature and possibly a selmer mouthpiece. I will regret half what I said because It's harder to tell with Jazz.

  • 20 bucks says thats a jody jazz mouthpiece.

If you can read this, please verify Ms. KobayashiAnd you sound awesome!!

  • Cap! never mind. Its not a jody jazz...

  • SO you are all wrong lol It's a lebayle metal jazz mouth piece which uses a ligature it comes with. That is a unlacquared Yamaha sax but I don't know the model.

  • Oh okay. How did you know? I guessed Jody Jazz at a glance but it obviously is not after looking again.

  • Pretty sure it's a Yamaha SA8 something with a G1

  • I've met her live. She plays on an Custom Z alto unlaquered without a high f # and with a gold G1 neck.

  • Absolutely amazing tone. Has a really nice combination of the classic dark and musky sound yet is still quite pop-like and quite bright. She has some crazy endurance with her breath!

  • where can i download her song? if you know! just tell me to know.. thanks! ^_^

  • look on fxemule, you're sure to find it all there

  • No way, it is a ALTO sax

  • Guys, I play both, that IS an alto sax. This girl just has a very very contemporary sound.

  • Plus she's small so it looks tenor-sized.

  • The drummer is quite tight... nice rythmic to play over !

  • SAXOPHONE WOW LOVE IT

  • Dude you are sick you sould see a doctor you sick bastard

  • exquisite!

  • estupendo me pareceio chevere

  • 3:53

  • cool, I doscovered some new music! I love it when that happens, thanks for posting... I can see myself listening to this in my car, come rain or shine...

  • "Turn your love around..." Anyone else think of that song when they heard this? It has a similar beat and sound; you could mix the two!

  • Yes! That's exactly what I thought. Infact as soon as I heard the it, I ran over to my keyboard and confirmed that it is in the very same key. Seems like quite a popular progression for funk though, I've heard similar in other funk/funky jazz songs.

  • Woman saxophonists have are so sexy... Why!?

  • I think maybe because generally woman saxophonists are rare in a club of men and she doesn't have to be manly to play the saxophone. Hope that answers your question.

  • I just noticed how FUBAR'd that sentence is. I have no clue what I accually ment, and I have no clue what I intended with that sentence.

I was probably a bit drunk.

  • Fantastic!

  • Yes Kaori

  • Where can you find this MV?
