I just happened to come across this trying to learn what Ouendan is. This is so cool. This reminds me of going to football games when I was in high school and we would cheer our team on. I'm not a fan a baseball but I would go to a game if I knew this was a post game activity!
...this isn't just a postgame activity. This is what is going on for the entire game, pretty much (without the exchange, just people doing the cheers on their own side for their own players).
Baseball in Japan looks like so much fun. And what respect the fans have for each other. A typical Cubs/Sox game would see a couple of fistfigts break out.

Yeah I get that the cheering is throughout the game. I meant the after game when they are engaged in playful cheering banter!
