My family stayed at this resort in 1990. It has really changed from what I can remember. We wanted to go this summer 2011 but our plans have been changed. Our dog Buddy may have bone cancer. We don't know for sure yet. We will know more soon. He is going to have an MRI on Tuesday 5/24/11. He's been limping for about 2 months now and has begun not eating. He is 10 yrs old and the sweetest dog I have ever known. I don't want to lose him, especially to bone cancer.

@mamasuzie Thank you so much for caring. He is doing much better. He had his MRI and there is NO CANCER! There is a tendon in his shoulder that has possibly been injured. He limps at times but is doing much better. The orthopedic surgeon said if it didn't get better he could cut the tendon and relieve the pain. So far we haven't had to do that. I think he is going to be okay without surgery. I was a mess for several days until I found out for sure he didn't have cancer.Thank you for caring.

The rooms are average size for a family of 4 or more and the food court is small, so it tends to get crowded during peak hours. I did not care for the numerous male subjects (mostly overweight 30+year-olds) coming into the food court/dining area from the pool wearing nothing but bathing suit bottoms while wandering around aimlessly and staring at the pre-teen girls and boys. There was no need for this, and it was really disgusting. Overall not a bad place to stay - watch for perverts!

I was just there in the first week in August from the 2nd unto the 8th. It was a great place to stay.

@bethanymchaney those small raceboats you saw cost 32 dollars for half an hour to rent and the bigger 6 man montauk boats and the 12 man pontoon boats cost 45 dollars for half an hour. The race boats only held 2 people and had a weight limit of 310 pounds which is barely enough for 2 grown men.

me and my whole family stayed here last year it was so fun. we went during the mickey's not so scary halloween party and every night the hotel ran a movie for the younger kids at night it was so nice. i hope we stay there again this year cuz we go every year :))))

I am a former Disney CP and worked here at the Caribbean Beach Resort from August 2006 - January 2007 at the Calypso Trading Post at Old Port Royale. I loved every minute of it!!!!!! The rooms look fantastic and fit the resort well.  I hope to return to it someday. I miss you Caribbean Beach Resort!!

We just returned from spending 7 nights and 8 days there. It is a wonderful place. Great food court too at Old Port Royale. Even better counter service there than at some table service restaurants. Wonderful atmosphere too. Yes it is a moderate resort. We were in Trinidad North.

we stayed here. this is a great resort. we are trying to stay at all the resorts, we have done almost all of the values except Music, and all of the moderates except POFQ (we are staying there for our 2011 trip) We are going to start doing the deluxe resorts after. but being that we are moving to Orlando in 2012, we shall see what happens.
