I remember this on CBC television in the mid sixties. I really liked the series although I could never determine the actual plot. What I really liked was the theme song.

I remember watching this. Here in Australia it was dubbed into english and called "The Kings Outlaw."

@cybastorm The English version was also shown in English speaking Canada, but retained the French title "Thierry La Fronde." As kids we wondered how one of Thierry's companions could be named "Judas" and still be a good guy.

The undubbed version was popular in Quebec. Although the action took place in 14th Century France, it struck a chord with many Québécois who felt politically, economically and culturally oppressed by English Canadians.

Although Thierry is depicted holding hands here with Isabelle, he often had his arms wrapped around  a pretty blonde teenage youth, protecting him from cave-ins and disasters and things. A touch of the homoerotic, there. Furthermore, Thierry's male beauty was glorified, in this show; and Isabelle's beauty was a secondary consideration. Much sexier than Richard Greene's "Robin Hood" in the previous decade.
