Thankyou Jon for that. I'm trying very hard to learn the banjo and I've been playing for 2 years now. Self-taught from Tony Trischka's 5 string banjo book. I just got on to this song and found your version very helpful and clear in getting my head around the tune before I try it. Lee, UK.
Hi! do you know aam..the banjos that are in sell in internet are goods? cause i want to boy one but really don't know were are better and lowest price...
Thanks for the info Jon and Eric. The Stelling is a wonderful instrument. Geoff Stelling is mentioned countless times in the "Banjo Newsletter" publication. He is widely respected.
I play a 1980 Ome, it's handmade, the company was located in Boulder, CO... Ever hear of of the Ome?
Wonderful technique of both hand, it sounds nice! Are you playing a Mastertone? Your banjo sounds a heck of a lot nice than mine! (Mine has more of a "frailing" tone. How good to see someone enjoy it so! :-)

It looks like you're picking so lightly, yet that banjo is loud as heck.We know you're hiding an amp inside it...LOL.

Yes it is a 1988 Stelling Bellflower Arch-top.
It's the only acoustic banjo I own and play currently.
I do have an Iida beginner that I played up to about 5 years ago before I bought the Stelling.
Thanks a TON for stopping by!
Banjoistically yours,
Jon Eric

Nice Job Jon,
You really make that banjo ring. What a tone! I can see why they call it a Bell-flower
