I don't understand-- he cant forgive her for something she had o control over and having a baby but he can forgive her for murder...If he didn't leave her in the first place then they could still be together and she wouldn't have had to be with Alec...
@ankmika - he couldn't forgive her, but time, experiences in brazil, her letter, realizations of the shallowness of convention etc made him find enough forgivness for anything - bit late though! the book goes into angel's thought processes in detail wheras the film cannot. i'm no 'expert' though, and am probably missing a trick or three... im still unclear about alecs and tess's relationship during the '3 weeks' (book) after her rape before tess leaves trantridge (5 miles down my road!)
