  • cool

  • It looks like someone peeing fire ..

    Awesome *****

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!

  • NICE!!

  • very cool flamethrower very nice fire FX

  • OMG!!!!!!

  • How did you make fire to illuminate the scene. I mean How did fumefx fire cast the light. Did u used global illlumination or something like that.

  • drink too much vodka + lighter = home made flame thrower

  • lmao! Molotov Cocktails!

  • or self flamethrower XD use a spray and a lighter its more safe

  • Really Nice! Can you share your scene file?

  • do you know how to add the volume light effect from max to the simulation?

  • How do you do burn effect when fire affect an object and gives it burned color?

  • I think there are several ways to achieve the effect you are talking about, but this scene actually does not go for that effect. You are simply seeing the smoke from fumefx which is trapped by the cube the simulation was performed in.

  • So, I can't get my fire to spray... I was doing some research, and it looks like the standard particle effects built into max won't work... So, my question is... Are you using Particle Flow, or Thinking Particles in this? If so, did you buy it? If not, where did you find it? Cause I really want it.

  • Standard particles do work. The effect was created by using a Super Spray.

  • Hmmmm... It doesn't say that on the website... And, when I try to select it to add, I click on the Super Spray, and it goes away... It won't add it.... Maybe I'm just having trouble with the plugin, but it's really upsetting me.

  • You need to create a fumefx particle source and then associate it with the superspray. You can find the fumefx particle source object in the helpers menu.

  • Oh duh! I forgot about that... Let me try it real quick... I'll let you know if it works for me... lol... I feel like an idiot...

  • Ok, I got it to work... Any way you wanna give me some of your settings? Like for color and stuff... That would be nice...

  • You'll figure it out.

  • Yeah, I am... I just HATE waiting for calculations... Cause you could wait all that time, and it could turn out to look like hell. I just can't seem to get much smoke... What setting would I turn up for more smoke? Sorry for all the questions...

  • Wow dude, you rock, i was always looking for a way to "spray" the fire.

  • Im haveing trouble too , i added the partical and the partical source but when i simulate it just shows a ball of fire where the source is,... ans yes i did associate the source with the partical. am i doing somthing wrong?

  • looks great but look like water because the fire dont go down

  • post deleted? so I guess you finally agree with Vray, huh?

  • yeah. fumefx 1.0a added that functionality. works good.

  • I should say, added it to the GI multiplier spinner in the fumefx dialog.

  • it's all good man :)

  • Ore you can use V-ray Indirect ilumination to get the flames to cast light on the scene ;)

  • Agreed. Must be using FumeFX 1.0A in order to get the GI slider within FumeFX to interact with Vray.

  • that was awsome very realistic

did you use vray or scanline

  • You have to use finalRender Stage-1 R2 in order to get the flames to cast light on the scene.
