  • QUEEN JOAN JETT, MIRROR!

  • I like how he's all WTF at 1:00 and doesn't miss a beat.

  • @BobDylanFan1966 hahaha, same here

  • gta lost and damned got me hooked on this song

  • This is pretty good for '92.

I always associated the latter period Rod with his horrendous 80s work.

  • Loves me some Scottish Rod!!! Either you love him or you hate him. I loves him!!! I believe after all this time he has taken you opinion w/ a grain of salt & our $!! =D Either works for me!! Being the Scot girls I am @ heart!!!

  • Rod Stewart and the Faces were one of the best rock bands and Every Picture Tells A Story is one of the best rock songs ever - should make most critics' top ten, IMHO. I thought this rendition was disapointing. Not cause Rod is twenty years older, that's understandable. Rather, it felt like he threw it away and was careless with a song that many think is important. I think the band saved his butt on this one!

  • @dc8058 saw Rod on the last tour with the Faces 1975...then 24 years later took my wife to see Rod on this tour and was so friggin happy he did the gasoline alley songs....the friggin guy sang for 3 hours...he even did the Sam Cooke stuff (you send me...we're having a party...twisting the night away)...it was my wife's birthday present..so much fun...

  • "If there were words I could tell to you to point you on down the road, I wouldn't quote you not Dickens, Shelley or Keats. Cause it's all been said before" One of the greatest lines in rock history!!! Most folks have never REALLY picked up on this one!!! I did when it first came out & have loved since!!! <3

  • Don't lose your head to a woman who'll spend Your bread.....E=MC2

  • man my aunt loved this guy she still in love with him i grew up with this music in gardena ca in th 70,s love it and eagles seager ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ya gary sabatine

  • I firmly believed that I never needed anyone but me....

....he left out one of the very best parts of the song.

he forgot the lyrics didn't he?

  • @EastofForever Yes he misses out the whole middle verse, its been on here nearly 2 years and you're the first to notice ! i think he nearly went arse over tit "edited out" which threw him a bit, plus it was over 4 hour show i think he was knacked.

  • @rockinjac well, since i've been listening to this album for going on *40* years I KNEW he left a very key verse out. It was cool how the band went on covering it up for him.

  • @EastofForever You're right, first time i played this on VHS i noticed, the band were brill didn't miss a beat, good ol' Rod he got through it lol !

  • @EastofForever Yes, it is pretty sad, he missed the key verse re Rome and The Vatican. I would expect more from Rod live...

  • @EastofForever Probably just shortened it. He's not 25 anymore. He did a great job. But yes, the lyrics are not correct, but I still love him anyway.

  • Thank you "The Lost and the Damned" For introducing me to a good song

    Wooooooo

  • shanghia lil what a woman yeh

  • Man... this lyric!!!

  • love this song but not keen on this. it doesnt have the old magic

  • Swagger, bravado and humour. A great rock n roll song. Gets your juices pumping!!

  • agreed

  • I NEVER GET TIRED OF THIS MAN! I have loved his music long before Maggie May was even written. And he is still going strong today. Thanks for posting this classic from EPTAS. :=)))

  • shake it rod!

  • Dilrod forget the lyrics...

  • I also find this to be my favourite Rod Stewart song. It's the great rythym that makes it rock out more than any of his other solo work.

  • Used to play drums in a local band. This was one of my favoriites!!!!No big percussion part, but still loved the song!! ROCK ON FOLKS!!!!!!!!

  • Great song, done well even here in 92. Would love to see one from the 70's though.

  • Me too. No one uploads them though.

  • Does anyone have an early performance of this song?

  • I was just wondering the same thing! Back in the day, all the guys wanted to be Rod, and all the girls were in love with him. This song is incredible!

  • Rods got that big ole ass thing going on lol.

  • Takes me back to my VInyl..

  • It's a pretty tall order trying to top Ronnie's original acoustic work, but this was very nice. I almost resent the way the British are better at the blues than we are.
