  • ... now are you supposed to scream like that or is it just being pissed?

  • Apparent tantrum example 3:55

  • @gmecomber i think she called her a bitch!

  • @CSLFiero LOL, it sounds very much as if she does.

  • Good God, It's like two kids throwing temper tantrums, lol. Are they both screaming or is it just one? I can't tell.

  • Im confused why were they screaming?

  • Mariel is a friend of my Mom, so we were watching this live in the middle of the night.

  • All the screaming reminds me of two cats that I found fighting outside of my apartment. It sounds exactly the same. Anyway, one of the best sabre bouts I've seen.

  • Frankkalani- Ward and Zagunis are teammates. In this bout and at this level it doesn't matter much, but against inexperienced fencers, left-handedness can sometimes be an advantage.

  • @27ladyknight that is more the case when fencing foil and epee because you have to change the angle you use to hit target. in sabre it is so easy to hit target that its not as big a deal

  • @CyrusofChaos trust me, i understand the differences between foil, epee, and sabre, and i also understand the nuances of fencing sabre as a left-hander. left-handedness doesn't make it easier for the leftie, per se, it just confuses the other person, if the leftie's opponent is inexperienced.

  • @27ladyknight It is much harder to fence a lefty in epee

  • Mariel made us at Notre Dame very proud!

  • NICE touch at 3:55!

  • I think she has an advantage for being lefthanded. Shes used to fencing against orthodox fencers so shes used to how they fence where as the orthodox fencers dont usually fence lefties so its odd and different to them. The saber or whatever being on the same side is a lot different than it being on the opposite side coming. at you.

The same applies for boxing. And look at how all the southpaws have rose to the top recently. what do you think?

  • I mean in a sense you're right, but the lefthanded vs right handed isn't all that important when it comes to fencing. Sure it makes it different and you definitely do have to change your game up when fencing a lefty, but its not at all that much of an advantage really. I actually don't mind fencing lefties because I have an easier time getting a parry three or parry two than I would with a right handed fencer. I don't know.. Experience changes everything.
