  • Lazio having a bit of trouble against Oliveira's army. Bwwwaahahaha! A Costello pun in every scoreline. Genius.

  • i wish i could say goooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllll just like that guy. Middle of a game down the pub. BOOM.

  • Closing music is timeless too.

  • Nicefew costello references to start the clip off.

  • Back when he had hair. Best Football Presneter on Tv.

  • James Richardson is a legend. I miss watching Foggia vs. Pescara on a Sunday afternoon.

  • @AllyLamont I simpler time.

  • AC FOR MOTD2

  • Any idea when this is from? I'm guessing 1994-95?

  • @evan2112 - Yeah its 1994-5. Brescia had just come up (and as Richardson points out were on their way straight back down). Its weird to see teams like Foggia, Padova and Cremonese in Serie A... I wonder if those teams will ever make it back.

  • Wow. So young and hairy. This guy is a legend!

  • oh my god he has hair!

  • Loved football Italia. Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons never been the same since. I can name as many random serie A players as premiership players from the early to mid to late 90s because of the great show. And James Richardson is the fuckin messiah.

  • James Richardson for MOTD2.

  • This guy was a legend.

I remember watching the program on Sundays when I was about 6-7 years old.

  • 0-0

    0-0

    0-0

    0-0

doesn't that just sum up the seria A

  • @sean2mush yeah it's a much more competitive league when

chealseaaa, manure, and lpol put 8goals past the other teams.

epl teams have the worst defenders in the world.

  • @sean2mush Sunday afternoon sleeping aids!

  • this guy is the king i miss him great days

  • thank you 4 uploading this you made me remember the good times like when i was young and when footballers where actually skillful not just athletes that happen to be good at football.

  • man i loved channel fours coverage back in the day, i swear i think i watched more italian football than prem footie growing, lol

  • Yeah when I was younger I always thought it was Goal Lazio, but always forgot to ask someone. They say the same in Spanish ¡¡¡¡Golazo!!!!. They say it when someone scores a brilliant goal, but you could also call someone a Golazo cos they score loads of goals and if you're a wicked player you're called a 'Crack!'

  • yeah thats true. Good to see back on tv even though its on Setanta.

  • best football presenter on tv. smart funny and prescient, puts the rest (bar andy gray) to shame

  • C'mon - Gray's a tosser.

  • yeh hes become irritating afta a while hasn't he, very boring also.

  • @ConMDBro

Yes. A complete knobend, no less.

  • @weldersbench 100% agreed. Grays. I can give or take. Keys is a joke.

  • Gooooooaaaaaaal lazio!! Ahh, 90s nostalgia. Good work Jimbo!

  • lol dude it's golaccio!

i laways thought it was goal lazio til i was corrected by an italian!

  • It is 'golazo' from a S.American commentary, not 'golaccio' which I've never heard Italians say.

  • It's 'golaccio', and it's not a real word. It means goaltastic pretty much. It's just a bit of fun.

  • the theme tune brings back all those memories, sunday afternoons in the 90s watching JR & the boys, ffs somebody please bring it back. Forza Inter

  • typical were enjoying another 0-0 italian classic
