diamonds can be classified and then priced by colour and clarity(and weight and cut when cut)...is there a method to classify opals in order to price them?

These stones range in price from $100 to over $500. All depends on the stone. Most of these stones have been sold.

Ebay is a good place to find them. Look for Boulder Opals.
