MK4 N64 cutscenes were really shitty compared to this (due to the lack of memory). On the N64, cutscenes relied on the engine to make the cutscenes (instead of prerecorded stuff like this). The only upside is that during the cutscene your character wore the costume you chose during Arcade Mode.

This ending is canon, and, in Deadly Alliance, Quan Chi is still alive and running from Scorpion who has been tormenting him for years. I would really like to see an adventure mode in Mortal Kombat 9 just like in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat: Deception and in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. I think that an adventure mode makes the game more rich. And hey, it's understandable if you didn't want to watch all the fatalities because you don't want to spoil playing of the game for yourself.
