  • 'DONT RUSH ME"....REAL SHIT (9TH WONDER ON THE BEAT)

  • she is incredible. i'm sorry she was/ is so troubled. what is the motown sounding track she raps to?

  • SHES DOPE!!!

  • WHOAAAAAAAAA....SHE IS FUCKIN NICE THEN A MUTHAFUCKA

  • damnnnnn............. i feeel you jean

  • sweet photo effects

  • sweet photo effects

  • All I have to say is you nice, and how much to romance your azz for 1 night

  • She is one of the most underated MC'S ever..I'm past tired of these Barbie Doll, Hoeish MC's with Nothing To Talk about on the Radio. 5 Mics Always For Jean Grae!!!

  • Hands down, my fav song

    True lyricist right here

  • lol who saw her recently? she got fat as hell lol.

  • @TheHNIC88 you dumb ass, WTF does that have to do with anything!??! GET A LIFE

  • @shoshoiLLindividual a lot. when i hear her talking about fucking sime dude i throw up now. Rather listen to Nicki Minaj

  • @TheHNIC88 Go play with your barbie doll, and leave real hip-hop art alone.

  • @jokesonyouhaha1 what is real hip hop? LOL

  • She's no Lauryn..they do different types of emceeing but she is surely one of the illest on the mic! Hands down!

  • Jean Grae is on of the best lyricist I have heard in a long time.

  • your all sleepers check dessa from doomtree she is the illest

  • jean the nicest

  • She needs to battle Eminem!!!! I I would love to see that LIVE! The crowd would go nuts...WOOOO!!!

  • the only female M.C. I think can compete with Lauryn Hill. these two have the game locked on the Female's side of the Mic.

  • @HalfKutskeleton Yeah, I was thinking about Lauryn Hill too, but I didn't think competition, I just thought it would be hot if they could drop a track together.

  • @HalfKutskeleton she's one of the dopest MCs to ever touch a mic male or female. she can hold her own against old skool male MCs and to say she'd murder mainstream rappers on a mic would be an understatement

  • @HalfKutskeleton

be more open minded, ever listend to Yarah Bravo?

  • @HalfKutskeleton dont forget mecca starr and lin que back in the days!

  • @HalfKutskeleton YO about a video ago i said this to my friend. they both rock the game they make half of the guys look like shit. they both wreck shop

  • @HalfKutskeleton

I agree but erica badu and foxxy brown also.

  • Jean Grae, has anybody told you that you resemble minnie riperton? Maybe your her reincarnated

  • Im glad she getting the respect she deserves but sumtimes hate when ur into an artist from day one, and everyone then jumps on the ban waggon lol bleh shes still the best..

  • as long as they support it, fuck it.....i feel you on that shit though

  • dear god shes deep. Jeans a lyrical beast

  • She's amazing and fine.

  • She's Hot, Spits hard and can definately flow wit the beat. But what is she trying to say?

  • I think she is saying for God to take her.. keep her safe... save her? because life is crazy.. basically. hotness from the soul.. i love it! just listen close!

  • what do you mean?

  • She spits hard about one thing then switches up throughout the song. It seem like she like she was trying to through in a bunch of hard bars in to make the song hot. Lyrics was hot but I couldn't get no insight on the subject line. The song seemed scattered to me. Just my thoughts.

  • I think the hook kind of makes the meaning of the track apparant. Whether she is a really strong christian or not i do not know but even if she wasn't, art doesn't always have to be the complete truth. The song seems to be about faith, the fear of losing it, the desire to keep it. A plea to God to let her know which way to go. Only so much can come from the soul and the amount of songs artists put out these days if it ALL did then they must be leading some very very crazy lives : )

  • @chris45322345

Maybe for you its a crazy crazy life but for others its just life. It all depends what your life is. And also how conscious you are.

  • conscious enough

  • @chris45322345

conscious enough. damn thats a good one. Not blind and not too conscious huh? Word.

  • take me for who i am

    or take my life

thats what i got out of it

  • she's tryin to kill herself because she's out of options but she's trying to figure out how to do it (gunshot, slit wrists) and than says what if that doesnt kill her and God cripples her for trying to end her life. she's basically considering all the options suicidal people think of

  • She's talking about depression and suicide. She's questioning the existence of God. If he exists, and she's supposed to be here, will he prevent it if she tries to kill herself? If she tests her theory, she speculates the possibility that he may cripple her just for questioning him in the first place. The last part lets you know that she does have the fear of God in her even after she questions his existence.

  • mzin!!!!!

  • A real emcee!!!!

  • I've loved Jean-Grey since she was "what-what." In this song you can FEEL the psychological exhaustion, and frustration of contemplating suicide. But ultimately, you find a 'reason' to keep going. Her WORDS are cinematic.

  • i wanna take you ;] heh

  • MC meets poet

  • i always thought lauryn hill was the greatest female emcee ever...but i'm jumpin on the jean grae bandwagon...this girl is a monster with tha mic

  • Lauryn is dope, of course

    Jean is dope

But get hip to Bahamadia, Invincible, Eternia...if anybody, Eternia, Psalm One and a bunch of others, but those ladies have it on lock. They're all on Myspace

  • i will def check em out...

  • cool, when you do let me know what you think. I'm always interested in what other people think about the ladies in hip-hop.

  • I still think Jean got it

  • @nsr0802

i iono i love bahamadia and psalm one def represents...but i gotta say jean better than both of them. bahamadia sometimes gets too monotone--like guru..but i love bb queen.

  • haha I agree w/ you on Bahamadia

check out Eternia, she's got a heavy vocal tone, but it's natural, and she can spit...really spit. She's my personal favorite. Eternia777 is her Yourtube channel

  • True that..Eternia is the shiznit

  • she's good and i love this smooth beat.

  • amazing song, no doubt.

  • she´s good yo !!!!

  • G.O.A.T.

  • THAT' WHAT'S UP!!! 10 STARS!

  • this song rocks !

  • you´re everywhere ;-)

  • i heard this before! love this song mel!! 5 stars
