Why didn't they put the effects listing in the manual? Where eff can I find a listing? Just trying to find if one of them is compression. It sounds like "80" might be compression plus tight reverb. Not a bad little mixer.
@AlexWhiteProductions Stereo outputs only. Closest you could get to that would be having the channels you want to record have the fx turned up and hook up your recording device to the fx send output - but that would only be in mono. Think I've used that for a monitor for the drummer.
@Vladthedruid Only if the other inputs come from a line-out on a guitar amp (headphone output would be okay, but you might find it a little distorted...should be ok though)
mine has started to give a single feedback tone, I think it has cooked itself. The effects signal seems to be at the root. If I turn down all effects , The noise/feedback tone goes away. Had it about 2.5 years
@ladybabe297 program numbers from 50 to 59 are all echo/delay effects.....just turn the black FX nob on the main section....and to select it press the nob (the nob is also a button)
Ok so I have this mixer in my home recording studio and I just bought the audio interface to connect it to my computer (instead of using the mic input on the computer, which gave alot of feedback) so I connected it using a RCA stereo cable to the audio interface and I have the head phones hooked up in the 'phones' slot on the mixer and I don't get any sound out of them besides from the mic. I also have some speakers hooked up to the control slots which only get the mic sound also. So I was just
@VisionzStudios hey maybe i can help....you have to connect the mixers main outs (not control room outs) to the interfaces input. the interface should be connected to the computer somhow....and to get ALL the sound (mixer and computer) you need to connect the phones to your interfaces phones output...
@NightXemnas Not on my setup which is used weekly in pub karaoke. The one time I had noise interference it was caused by a clover leaf connection on the laptop power supply. This was resolved by using a figure 8 adaptor to eliminate the earth(ground) pin.
@haddockface Oh, I misread your answer. That would sound fine (because the headphone socket is going into the mixer, not the other way around), but I think the question that OnMyGrindENT was asking was how to INPUT the mixer into the PC for recording, not input the PC into the mixer for playback. The question was unclear so It can be interpreted either way. Sorry for being so harsh. =)
@OnMyGrindENT You need an audio interface, like the Behringer UCA202. Then use a two way RCA Cable to plug in to the interface, which goes into your PC. DO NOT try to record using the microphone socket on your pc, it will use your PC's default sound card, plus the mixer sends out a line signal, not a headphone signal. The result: terrible noise, and huge amounts of latency. Plus audio interfaces tend to only go for about $30. Grab one.
I got this because the first mixer I had was too simple and for the price of this I can run a few drum machines and stuff like synths out to a computer to sample and have it connected to monitors at the same time. The other mixer I had was a Behringer as well
they round it up to 100 effects its realy 99 and its technicly not 99 because most of the effects are the same except some are stronger and weaker which makes the difference
I need some information regarding 1202 fx. I have xenyx 1202 fx but my power suply I have is Xenyx 1202. can I use the xenyx 1202 power supply adapter to 1202fx mixer?

Hey man im a drummer and gig out a lot. I want to know if this would be good to mix my drums before sending them to the main board. Please get back to me asap thanks
@pawpaupaw hey man!!! i got this same mixer, and i do recomend it for what you ask. i myself have 2 guitars, 2 mics, 1 bass, and a keyboard, seems to do the right job. and if you conect this mixer to audio graham 3 (yamaha) it does magik!!
I bought this today, it sounds pretty good, but my only complaint is if I have the FX master all the way up but a single line input's FX all the way down, I can still slightly hear the effect on it. Is this a defective product or are all of them like this?
i got you. you CAN plug all that in but there is a catch. If you look at the Mic channels it has a mono input under in for ur guitar. so you couldn't plug them in at the same time i dont think. It would probably sound bad. so u would have to plug the 2 guitars in the stereo channels on the rite side. but for stereo u need a left and right input. so u can but it would be complicated
aye mane to the guy that wants to know how to hook the mixer up to hear your voice in the headphones thru the mic its your computer if you got xp its really easy mane just double click. the volume sign on the botton right hand side...then go to otions n go properties go to playback n check microphone wit vista its tuffer
I have that mixer and I like it but one down is that there is no power switch so you would either need to plug it into an outlet with a switch hooked up to it or unplug it every time you are done.
hey, im thinking about buying my 1st mixer and have been researching them for a couple of months now, i want to connect it to my computer and work with Reason 4.0 and my Akai MPK49, any ideas which mixer will be good for me and compatable? thanks
I've bought this mixer today along with 4 mics for my drum set. I've tried putting the mixer into a fender guitar amp, but it won't pick up the drums. Behringer has always been known for their cheap, low quality designs. If you are looking for a mixer for a recording setup, DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY OTHER BEHRINGER.
Stick with Allen & Heath or Mackie. Youll regret buying this cheap Behringer board.
you can run the tape out rca's into the 1/8 in line in usually for mics on your computer, you can just take a random video(red, white, yellow) cable that might have a 1/8 on the other side, do u have software?
yes i have the audacity and i connect the mixer with the computer by a rca but the computer doesnt recognise the mixer and i dont know why ,can you say me some hardwares for record better than the audacity?¿
Being an ex owner of the Xenyx 2222fx (from yesterday) i would not recommend this mixer. Mine is now faulty, i regret not taking peoples opinions on behringer products. You'll get your use out of behringer for 5 months before having to send it off to be repaired, just save a up a few more quid and buy a better mixer. Infact today i bought the Tapco 260fx which not only looks better, but sounds better & is part of the mackie family - only £135 from retailer!!!!
I've been using two Behringer Eurorack mixers since 2002, a V-Amp2 since 2003, and a Composer Pro compressor since 2004, none of which have ever been in the shop. All four products live up to their specs in every way. I also just bought a new little Xenyx 1222 mixer and it's been great so far.
You might have had a bad board, but I'll tell you right now that 9 out of 10 guys that knock Behringer are store sales people who aren't making any money on the small markup they get on those products.
I own so much analogue equipment none of which has ever broken down. Ashame the only behringer product i did have gave up on me :( i'm sure there loads of people who are satisfied, (i'll admit the xenyx wasnt a bad mixer in terms of what it offered) but braking down in such a short period has left a bad mark on me. I emailed behringer about the problem 2 days ago, they state i will get a reply within 24 hours, nothing so far!

@OnMyGrindENT You hook up a splitter cable to the headphone socket on your computer and plug the other 2 ends in as inputs to channel on the mixer.

@daydream1nc
my behrgr keyboard amps 1800 and 3000fx both did that as well. Even turned off,
the fx would have a sound leakage come through. The fix for me was turn the volume all the way up with nothing connected, fx all the way down and then
switch through all the effects to see which ones were the quietest. Then just left it on one of those setting and it has almost
no effect sound leakage that way.

yay thanks, i'll do that.
