As a Rangers fan, I wound up going to a bunch of the home layoff games in 1988 and found myself rooting for them! Theyw ere young, inexperienced and certainly underdogs. Their series with w/ Washington is still the roughest, nastiest series I have still ever seen. If tht series happened today, Bettman would kick both teams out of the league.
