I think when people have barriers like dyslexia they have to use their brain in ways 'normal" readers do.
I believe this "re-routing' causes them to be quite brilliant. Many colleagues of mine that I find to be ingenious had something like ADHD or dyslexia challenge them in their youth that caused them to become even better "thinkers". Creative. Abstract.
Without this "disability" they would have been banal instead of brilliant.
