i use to go to learning resource for doing my tests...when ever i did tests in class i did bad, i had a hard time focusing on my tests, any time i tried to focus and acutally got into something, i would hear, someone breathing in the back corner of the class or hear everyones pencil writing away. exams i use to focus on the teachers foot steps and i could clearly hear any conversation in the room, even those whispering to each other.
I believe a coherent, well thought through strategy is key. Here in the UK, as a dyslexic student, I am allowed 20% extra time, a laptop, do my exams in a separate room, and have a five minute break every hour. This is not quite as generous as the US but a vast improvement over what was available in the 80’s UK.
I have two mocks (this week) then start my main AS exams next week - tons of revision to work through in the mean time, but I am quietly hopeful.
