7:37 Apparently no. Normal people are too much influenced by unfounded rumors and opinions to be able to judge by their own logic when it comes the differences of a person. Ok... he IS a monster but,... ah yeah... the monsters attack the villagers... nevertheless!,.... hum... nah... screw it... . First off, there's a free copper sword in the waterfall cave, so that's the Hero's second best weapon he can get at this point- but you don't need the boomerang just yet. You should grind out a level and try to get enough money to buy the hammer for Yangus at the weapon shop. Armor doesn't really matter just yet. Once you get those two weapons, the fight becomes incredibly simple. In the actual fight, have the Hero heal when needed and Yangus should just attack.

I tend to use Yangus as me party leader as he has more def.

I can see where that would be useful, but I don't really like having Yangus walk on the overworld; it's kind of jarring and not very pleasant to look at xD sorry Yangus.

is there any way to stop fighting monsters every time u go outside cos i just wanna walk around the countyside but every step i take monsters cum up. can u turn it off or sumthin ?

Yeah, you have to encounter every monster in the game. After that, you get an accessory that disables random encounters.

Hell if I know. I don't have it- I've never needed it. Random encounters are just a natural part of the game. If I don't want any, I'll just use some holy water in a lower-level area.

Well, there is one item: the Gospel Ring. Once you defeat every enemy at least once (including the secret ones) King Trode gives you this.

Because, at the time anyway, Nintendo wasn't out for a cheap buck like Microsoft. Besides, the Wii is the most innovative console on the market(Don't give me that PS3 6-axis BS) and the thought of the player acting out the various attacks that the characters perform was a very marketable idea. So, Nintendo was the better choice(SONY wouldn't have gone for that game anyway). Besides, RPGs don't tend to do well on Xbox consoles. Remember Eternal Sonata? Neither does anyone else.

Ahh come on, Square makes greats RPG for Xbox, like Last Remnant and now Star Ocean 4. Xbox exclusive. But not a DQ xDDD.....

I'm not saying they were bad, but can you honestly say that they were financially successful? The reason RPGs don't do well on XBox is because XBox's core audience are Halo Freaks and FPS nuts who think anything with the slightest bit color besides brown is too childish to be considered a good game.

Where are people getting this number?? NO. It dosn't take that long. Christ on the proverbial bike, if it did. It actually only takes a few days to complete the game. That number is probably the extra hours I put into the game. Leveling up, Dragovian Trials, getting gears and stuff like that.

Well, here's the thing, the only real reason you get a new version of this game is if you want to also get the FF12 Demo that came with it(The demo is better than the actual game). I suggest you get a used one with a good return policy(30 or so days; 90 if you're lucky), so that if anything goes wrong, you can exchange it for a working copy. That's what I did with my Rogue Galaxy disk(it crapped out three hours into the game). But a new one will be around 40-50$ and a used about 20$ maybe.
