  • This guy can jump..

  • Holy crap, check out the height!

  • Made gravity his personified bitch!

  • do any1 know the tune?

  • @UnderstandingAll yep its from the movie ''tai chi master'' It's called twin warriors.

    Tai chi master- twin warriors

  • that guy has some mad hops

  • I can do this easy kick ever it just looks hard

  • Still to this day... hands down, one of the best b-kick examplers + basic tutorial I've seen.

  • yeah, i cant do that. lol

  • It's like this is all second nature for them. Freaking amazing.

  • It's so lovely to see how you move your last up coming leg so high ! And still you're movements are so slow but perfect ! Please how do you do it with such slow motion ?

  • Man just doing 10 consecutive tornado kicks i get dizzy but this guys are hard core!!! I wanna do that stunt... BTW I'm a yellow belt TKD practitioner...

  • using bkicks in freerunning is, as a result, a perfect example of the intended use of this move.

  • i have no idea what type of crack you people are smoking.

what about a bkick looks like it's any form of attack? a bkick is an extremely situational move in old school kungfu/wushu used to JUMP OVER things, kind of as an alternative to a dive roll. the advantage is that you flatten out your body and are able to clear something and land standing.

it has now made it mainstream, and is a common stunt. there is no power generation in the kicks. it was designed to generate height and distance.

  • @wooshoo I agree, but i heard shaolin monks used it in fights for intimidation, or that starting show off part at the start where they spin sticks about and show thier skill.

  • @necepter111 nice explanation, i found a million videos on how to perform this kick, but not a single one of it landing. i was starting to wonder if this was really a martial arts technique, or a dance move.. it makes sense to just throw it to scare people though, i definitely wouldn't fight someone if i saw him do this lol

  • @wooshoo i dont know about you, but when i roll, or dive roll, i always have the option to land on my feet. Not only that, but a Martial artist can see uses for things other than what they're originally intended for, as i tend to agree with you that this is not a traditional offensive move, i can find a way to make it one. a perfect example of what i'm talking about is any basic hard style block, low middle or high, they can also be used as attacks, such as breaking joints, or a strike.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • has any1 ever looked up any old school wushu manuals or books, funny thing i found the translation got a bit messed up hey, this is not a butterfly kick if you look up the original characters youll find this is a swollow tail kick, & the butterfly twist is just a butterfly kick. the original characters one the swollow tail looks like a swollow, & the buterfly kick (not twist) is a character of a butterfly. something went wrong translateing the two

  • imagine if that first guy kicked you in the face, oww.

  • whoa! thats sooo good! i learned this in figure skating but i can barley do it with out holding onto the walls!

  • wtf o-o

    that looks kinda weird :D

  • 1:06 How the hell did you slow down in mid-kick?

  • i learnt how to do it but perfecting it is so hard =| anyone know what the song is?

  • sorry, but i just gotta lol at the yellow shirt girl...

  • i learned the move in 1 day O.o cool! it's not true when they say it's hard , and i can do it w/o the run too! :D(i watched several videos , adn when focusing hard and training it can be done easily.

  • The height comes from the dip, all of the horizontal energy is blocked then transferred into vertical energy. Also, this is not a killing stroke move. Chuck Norris has never killed anybody with a B-Kick - Look it up!

  • if anybody just learned it & uses it aginst opponent, he will fall down for sure!!

  • @sebinpsuresh The butterfly kick isn't an attack move. It's made to avoid low attacks aimed at your legs, all the while getting behind your opponent. If you try to hit someone with a butterfly kick, you'll hurt your legs/

  • @AndyRaslan I thought butterfly and aerial was same... Now i understand.

  • @AndyRaslan used to be used to kick people off horses actually ^^ but in thems days the conditioning was off the chart

  • @aisukurimusandoichi no no no its a spear dodge and throw a really really big hook kick the superman punch and the worlds bigest takedown EVER (& the shaolin spear n pole evasion) the one used for horses is a inside to out whirlwind or more comonly known as huricane or tornado kicks (not the outside to inside ones)

  • he can jump really high!! Or is it bcoz of the floor that act as a trampouline??

  • @ragnarok93 no its his jump because as you can see when he goes down he actually jumps with the rotation but its not that hard to do he is a expert =D

  • @ragnarok93

He is a great jumper, but he's also not very big so the jump looks higher.

  • I've studied shotokan and judo for many years.

I've done a lot of street fighting in inner city Los Angeles 1980's, 1990's and 2000's. Yea, that black street life ghetto stuff. Sorry to have to say this, cause I'd love to say this is just an acrobactic move, or dance move, but it is really a extreme version of a spinning hook and heel that you see bruce do in the movies. It is very effective in street fighting. Especially if you are hurling your whole body into a very big guy. Love it.

  • Easy to start and learn, hard to master and perfect.

  • @webstertoh Yeah I learned it, but now, i am trying to get some height, but its extremely difficult. Look at this guy. His leap in highest point is like 6 feet. lol

  • Easy to learn and start, hard to master and perfect

  • omg air time amazing

  • His leap is amazing!

  • omggg!!! ive been trying to do this move and i always end up pulling my muscles in my legs....coz i been doing it wrong! this really helped!

  • I NEED to learn how to do that :D

    lets practice...

  • AIR TIME MAJOR!

  • its supposed to be an unblockable kick

  • it's an easy move... just requeres a little bit practising

  • massive air for this guy but it really would'nt hurt anyone ist's more like a contest move for form

  • Actually , I assure you , if you get hit by the descending motion of the second leg , that HURTS (coulnd't turn my neck for weeks , that time) =)

  • its applicable but a bit showy

  • Most of these Wushu techniques are more for show rather than for use :) Yes, if your opponent was foolish enough to get caught in the kick, it would hurt, but you'd probably hurt yourself too.

Those whip thingies look pretty nasty though.

  • if you mean Wushu Taoule (forms) then you are right, but it seem you don't really know much about wushu, because on competition, besides Taolu (forms) there is also SANSHOU which is fighting , search for some videos :D

  • Awesome Video. I Admire the way you explained and broke down the proper way to execute a Butterfly twist. 5 STAR quality.

  • what cool song was that?

  • this is actually a move for when the oppenent does a legsweep :D to evade more than attack

  • took me two days to get my firearms license lol.

this vid is cool. i like the music used too.

  • lol the guy in the video messed up your not supposed to move your shoulders up when you do this but he did lol

  • Modern Wushu was created by the Chinese communist government little after 1949 for the sole purpose of turning the peoples only line of defense into a national acrobatic sport. Thus eradicating any sense of "violence". It was a move to then again oppress the Chinese people. If you read a little you would know that modern Wushu has very limited combat application. So I hate it when people keep mentioning "oh this is just for show" ...of course it is... just like gymnastic's floor competition

  • whats the song name ive been asking for years?????????

  • Some martial arts are more of a practice and exercise, and less of a self-defense. Fools who claim that other martial arts are more useful in a fight than this are being ignorant, and only show off their own stupidity.

  • This is a tutorial for people trying to learn a nifty trick. It's not showing how awesome and amazing this is to hurt somebody, and if it were, I'd be agreeing with you, but it's not. It's an acrobatic move. Stating that muay thai is better doesn't even make sense. You are speaking out of context.

  • i meant muay thai is better in fighting terms, its one of the best

  • @electronfizz its better to do a solid move than do this acrobatic move which also risks yourself if not done properly

  • @electronfizz This kick was originally devised in the Shaolin temples to kick people of their horses. It is not just an acrobatic move but is considered this in today's terms. There aren't many chances we get to kick people of horses these days...

  • you have studied many martial arts? your youtube profile is then ether a lie or you only have a very shallow view of martial arts. 18 years is hardly long enough study even 1 martial art thoroughly.

"so think before you say anything else that is contradicting yourself."

  • do yuo use such things like butterfly kick or 540cresentkkick in a real fight?

sorry if my english is bad=)

  • at that level, you are not getting in real fights very often...

  • i learned!! now i can go into my wushu school and show off lol

  • that's all you can do with it, show.

  • nice tutorial :D

I learned B Kick with this... is this is kung fu?

  • yes its kung fu(wushu)

  • muay thai owns this

  • thts your opinion buddy. i hate faggets like you tht say this type of martial arts owns the other.

  • hate is disliked in martial art philosophies.

  • to się nazywa wybicie !!!!!!!!!

  • is that dunstable leisure centre?

  • no its got to be Loddon Valley Leisure Centre in Reading, if its not that place, i need my eyes tested. a great sefu teaches there.

  • Pretty straightforward, thank you!

  • Can someone tell me the name of this song plz???

  • i heard this before wut is it

  • oh wow dat dude jumps really high!!!

  • Gr8 move!

  • but u know... even if this move isn't good for attacking u can still use it to jump and dodge watevah... and make ur opponent do stunned that they stand still and gets beaten up easily lol

    xP

  • Holy shit. I thought that guy was going to spin all the way around and keep running.

  • i think he just flew over the person he was trying to kick

  • Comment removed

  • you should kick a butterfly with that? ?:

  • Not to kill the butterfly, you are only trying to K.O. it

  • That is funny dude

  • how in the world can you let some body knock you with a damn butterfly kick lol lol lol lol

  • YOu dont, its not ment for that : P Would be kind of lame if you did get knocked by that on a street though.

  • Song is from the film....twin warriors

  • jeezz...look at that hight

  • your tutorials hav helped me a great deal

  • pnch chino loko

  • Since the song is titled?

  • name of this song? i know its from jet li :D

  • WOW..i wonder wat u need2train(kind of martial arts) 2 be able 2 get up1 dis level?

  • Kungfu/Wushu its the same but Wushu is chinese name for kungfu

  • Actually, I believe "Wushu" translates more directly to "Military".

  • they're not that hard to learn. Just remember to dip horizontally when you jump, or else you just do a lame kick that looks really gay. Ot if you dip down to much you do an aerial.

  • Best B-Kick i ever saw ... but it looks a little bit gay :D

  • Esta muy chulo que guay!

como se titula la cancion que suena en el video?

  • at 1:34 what type of weapon is that? i forget

  • 9-section chain whip I think...

  • I practiced wu shu btu forgot this kick :(

  • i dont if they dont have a eating disorder then they can take control and become fit

  • I can do it, but i can't get height like these guys...the first one was amazing...like the music in this vid

  • WOW THATS A HIGH AWSOME kick

  • thanks for the video because now i can acually practice it for taekwondo

  • kool kool

  • GREAT!! THANKS A LOT

  • that is really a high butterfly kick..whew

  • sephiroth87932 that sound very smart but when i was yellow i could even do that :P so I think its like my sensei says: everyone has got his own technique

  • Isn't this music the theme to the movie ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA?

  • The first music is from crouching tiger hidden dragon.

  • grandeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not gonna lie, thats sexy.

  • agreed!!

  • thanks, this video helped my kung fu training alot!!!!

  • what are some exercises that can strengthen my core so I can turn like that?

  • this looked damm amazing... wish i could do that

  • that was beautiful

  • Can someone tell me if you have to be flexible or really skinny to this cause ive never really took gymnastics but i get the concept.

  • Very flexible.I could do it but the guy in the video is even better, just the height he went was amazing! But this isn't meant for fighting just for acrobatics show or kungfu movie!

  • Zhou Qing Jian of the Beijing Wushu Team. They don't use belts. Watch his 720 butterfly twist into a split!

  • I don't see anything under a Brown Belt pulling this off.

  • thats because of confidence i wanted to do this b4 i was even green belt but i saw how they did it and when i was told that i had to have my legs over my waist my confidence went out the window im trying it now but im close to a black belt and i have more confidence becasue i have learned other techniques that have to do with the butterfly kick so i guess the reason under brown belt dont pull this off is because of low confidence and yeah but there r other reasons too=)

  • i can do a butterfly kick... BUT NOT AS GOOD AS YOU

  • Sick!

  • SKILLZ!

  • Holy shit, did you see that hieght?

  • woahw

  • omg that is cooool

  • HOLY CRAP THIS GUYS has an amazing jump mi butter fly is like 2 times lower than this dude`s darn

  • SOURCE ON THIS INCREDIBLE MUSIC. <33

  • that was high!

  • Are there still some Wushu stadiums?

  • 1:39 = fail xD but better than me :)

  • that's not a fail, it's an intended fall

  • dang.. i aint gunna try dat! im gunna kill myself! = P

seriously! i can do the bicycle in good wit dat

    = P

  • thats the best b kick ive seen so far. respect

  • is he a jabawakee?

  • nahh... hes notta jabawakee, kinda looks like it! i know were your comin from though!

  • watsa jabawakee

  • sweet i see what i do wrong :/ I pick up my left leg to early killing my height and landing

  • shit that guy in the red got sum height

  • he was flyyyyiiiiiiiiiiing

  • whats the song plssss

  • I can do this.=)

It is not difficult, you just need to get used to the fact that you are rotating freely, and once you are done with that,it's Butterfly City from there.=)

  • easy as hell

  • Yeah i tot it was really hard after doing it twice than its like jus jumping on the bed

  • my master can do this :P i havent been able to do this for years havent practiced in long time. its actually kinda useless imo cuz it pretty much just loooks good. he probly kicked over the guys head if ther was a target ther in the running one

  • the video doesnt say it but fro a b kick you want to squat down and punch of your left leg if you dont squat at least a little it isnt going to look nice and also when landing you want to land as if youre going to do another one

  • Can anyone tell me what the name of the song is?

  • i don like it

  • wushu and shaolin kung fu

  • this is also from Wushu Martial Arts

  • Wow i feel so stupid. At my studio some of our instructors told some of the more athletic student like me how to do this. Only he was telling me a different way. Instead of keeping my body parallel to the ground i flipped my body upside down completely. No wonder it took me a long time to get my version down. Its weird but it looks really cool as a break dancing move lol. Atleast i know how to do it right now

  • I'm what is the title of the song from the video, i want it on my i pod
