  • @tigerfoe32 That's because it's CG

  • wow i would be so happy if mvb2712 was in this tornado man i feel so bad for all of these people it is real stupid mvb2717 this could happen i was in a tornado a lot bigger than that you????? i thought so i wouldn't be talking and it did happen you are exactly being a phony shutup it is real and true my dad was in it stupid and it doesn't bring dishonor to it at all

  • anyone else think the tornado at 0:43 looks like a giant penis?

  • @NBProductionsx go to a doctor you idiot : /

  • wow.... one of these pictures i regognize from an episode of storm chasers i was watching in 2010... thats not cool. this has nothing to do with the outbreak. some of them yea, but the other ones arent, and thats really... not right.

  • I'm going to agree with turtwigfan27...most of this footage is not from the 1974 outbreak you jackass...seriously who the fuck does something like this?

  • @jamesmiller485 soory..meant to say I agree with Mvb2717

  • I lived five minutes away from this horrible occurrence . I was 11 . Scared this *hit outta me > I remembering hiding under my bed I knew at that young age it was life -threatening

  • remember this 2- us just drove out here from the east coast

  • Wow that's a pretty song... Who sings it ??

  • Perhaps one of the most unusual parts about this storm system is that, outside of Alabama, none of the usual targets of tornadoes were really affected. Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas all clear of this outbreak.

  • у!ввууу!!!

  • from my point of view 0:41 looks like a giant cock pushing its way into the ground lol

  • @octanemonkeys LMAO! YEA IT DOES, THAT IS TOO FUNNY!!!

  • 148 tornadoes in one day?!

  • @qwertasdcfghjklmo24z Yes, in 13 States as well as Ontario, Canada.

  • @MeanGene79 so was that the largest tornado outbreak in the USA or have there been larger ones?

  • @qwertasdcfghjklmo24z This was the largest ever recorded outbreak of tornadoes in one day.

  • Screw WMG.

  • my hometown was destroyed that day aswell. monticello IN. a science teacher wrote on a chalk board dont forget to bring your jackets tomorrow for feild trip wealther might get nasty ,right before school was let out for the day. tornado hit 2hrs later after school was let out. well when someone went into the school to check around after it was destroyed they saw this. he wrote underneath that 'NO SHIT'. LMAO is a famous town picture. theres no known pics of footage of monticell IN twister

  • The one on the beach was Myrtle Beach, 2001.

  • OMG THIS R ALL OHIO O_O IM SCARED THIS SUMMER! i hate tornadoes

  • lol no they werent a few of the big ones were in ohio heres a list of the with tornadoes (also one canadian province) Illinois Indiana Michigan Ohio Kentucky Tennesee Alabama Mississippi Georgia North Carolina Viriginia West Virginia New York and also one in Windsor Ontario (canada)
  • shit ny! thats crazy

  • word son

  • ya luv dear old mom dont ya.

  • wmg owns everything. I better go check my underwear for a wmg logo.

  • My mom was blowing some guy under a bridge when one of these storms hit,she never did get paid so if you are reading this Mr.Clemons then we expect payment in the mail in moms memory.

  • "We won't forget the tragedy of 1974" especially with a bunch of random tornado images not from the 1974 outbreak....

  • actually they were

  • The ones at 1:23 and 1:26 were from Sayler Park, Cincinnati, Ohio(where i'm from) and Xenia, Ohio.

  • darlene wellington did u die in this tornado

  • what is title of music?

  • The song is "Only Time" by Enya. It can be found on her album "A Day Without Rain."

  • i'm no idiot 37-42 is kafe look at the street powerlines and the cop car!

  • I am going to agree with Mvb2717 all of this is not from 1974 Super Outbreak. I understand what your trying to do but your either misinformed or just getting the wrong video. Now I don not agree with him calling you an idiot. I know some of the twisters in this video and some are as resent as 2006 sorry but your video is wrong. Nice pics tho and a nice try...

  • really? "we won't forget 1974"?? Then how about using real footage. Most of this crap was not from 1974. You dishonor the memory of the dead by claiming to have footage...remember, color film was expensive in 1974, so most people continued to use B&W film.....you ought to be ashamed of yourself, you phony!!!!

  • @Mvb2717 Agree,

  • @Mvb2717 hahaha

  • @Mvb2717 Hey retard, calm the fuck down and go clean out your vagina . Pussies like you need to find a high building and jump off.

  • @TheMerriamLookout what's you age............2?? Grow up and talk like an adult.

  • @Mvb2717 I was in the 1974 tornado in Louisville,Ky and this is not real footage........I agree with you !!! This is so phony.

  • did a project bout this

  • :39 holy crap

  • :is computerized

  • you need to get real pics. from this event instead of ones from different places. I live in Indiana and it took a whole town out right next to the one I live in. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT before you waist my time. I don't mean to be rude, but thats what I think

  • im in Madison Indiana and alot of the town was taken away but luckily our histiric downtown survived

    r.i.p. to who died

  • yea, those are all over the place....

  • I live in New Market, Alabama. I had some family that lived in Hazel Green AL. just a couple of miles away from here. They were killed in that tornado. I think it was an F4 maybe an F5..but it was so powerful that it sucked the hair and skin off of their bodies. My family also had friends that were killed in those tornados.

  • My aunt was in the middle of that, she took a snap shot of a small twister, F0 or F1 i think....

  • such a sad time

  • dat'd b da most freakest thing ever to see a tornado at da beech. Damn. usualy u see hurricanez

  • jw870206 is right i saw one at 00:50 that showed the 1997 tornado that hit miami. I only know because i was there.

  • Yea and only 1 in 10,000 twisters becomes a f5 and there was 5 that day

  • I live in columbus,ohio

  • me too where at like hilliard or dublin or where?

  • That storm system of April 3 1974 spawned 148 tornadoes from that massive storm system that extended from the Midwest states of Ohio, Indiana all the way into the Southern states of Tennessee, Kentucky and as far south as Alabama. Those storms that hit all of those people of Xena, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and everywhere will certainly not be forgotten.

  • It must be very sad. So many tornados then, it brings back good memories when my great grandfather was killed in the tornado. :-(

  • good memories, what was he an ass or something?

  • good video, but doesn't do too well at sticking to the subject matter: april 3, 1974...many of the images in this slide show are not from the Super Outbreak of 1974.

  • i remember this night in ky 1974 i was 4 years old but i can rem going to the basement

  • My parents survived the F5 Xenia tornado...their house was destroyed, but their neighbor's on each side of them their house withstood it. They were in the Arrowhead neighborhood where it touched down.

  • how can those be that tornado in 1974.

the still is of a miami tornado and most of the pictures anit black and white or like not as coulerful but they are.!!!! why meeeee!

  • i was cracking up at the music and my brother comes in my room and he's like "What are you laughing about?" and i showed him and my parents thought we were crying about something because our faces were all red.

  • Funny, the Baptist reading of the Bible says that all those killed by the tornadoes were sinners and went to hell. Only those who prayed hard enough were spared. Is it an angry God or a loving God? Sure looks pissed off to me.

  • There's no accounting for taste, I guess. Having worked in music stores for over 12 years, however, I'm pretty sure there are many better choices to accompany the violence and devastation of tornadoes. DCD would be ok for video of a somber funeral or remembrance of a sad moment but tornadoes are not somber.

  • dident that hit Arkansas?

  • No. The closest the systems that spawned the tornadoes came to Arkansas was in Kentucky and eastern Alabama.

  • no idiot i read about it it did hit Arkansas i live there my parents told me it hit here idiot it did and why did you reply after 3 months?

  • I lived in AR then and I do now. I was there. Where were you?!?!?

  • BTW, just read your bio...you're 17?!? You weren't even born then. I was 14 when it struck...and, again, the storms were not in Arkansas. Confirm it on any NWS website.

  • my parents told me!

  • Why do people use such inappropriate music in these slide shows? For the love of Pete, why use Dead Can Dance? Do you just figure, "Hey, they're depressing, this is depressing, obvious match!"? Children playing would be a better soundtrack. Bach or Beethoven real low would be better. Creed would be better. I just can't imagine a slide show that would be aided by Dead Can Dance.

  • My son happens to be buried in that graveyard the Ash Valley Ks video shows the tornado right near there. I found the music wonderful. Guess it is just whos eyes and ears are seeing it.

  • Saw this footage which is just unbelievable. Was on the site as I work at a publishing company - we are bringing out a book about the 1974 tornado outbreak - American Tornado by Mark Levine. If you're interested the book is up on amazon and is released in the UK in August.

  • i just found out, the 3rd one from the outbreak is from Xenia Ohio. I am not sure if it is the same one Xenia Ohio tornado that was an F5, because tornados can increase speed and size while on the ground, but it could just be another tornado, but i am not sure. BTW if you are wondering what cause the outbreak, it was the 2nd worse storm since 1900 that caused it. But why so many tornados? Well the storm just wouldn't weaken, it just got stronger. But ofcourse it did soon die out.

  • If you really want answers go to your bible

  • yeah but like i said the ones from the outbreak are: The 1st picture, the 2nd picture, the picture at 1:18, and the picture at 1:25. The 1st one is from Madison, Indiana. The 2nd one is from Parker, City Indiana. The 3rd one...i am un-sure about. The last one is probebly the most famous one of them all, the Xenia Ohio tornado.

  • as it was climbing up the hill, yes, turned & climbed up a hillside, like it had a mind of it's own

  • btw..that's Jefferson Co., IN

  • actually there was one huge funnel & it would split into 3, one smaller on each side of huge one in middle, then come back together, & repeat

  • I know for a fact the first one is because that's my town & that's the tornado that hit us. lol

  • ok i will just tell you them all. The ones from the 1974 super outbreak are: The 1st picture, the 2nd picture, the picture at 1:18, and the picture at 1:25.

The rest are not from it, and notice how 3 of the ones that were from the outbreak were in black and white, and that how the other one looks like a painting lol, but it is a real photo taken from the outbreak.

  • one of them i reconized right away that was from the super outbreak is the one photo that is black and white with a....skinnier tornado, funnle bending to the side, that is a pretty famous photo from the super outbreak.

  • ok i reconize 4 photos from the super outbreak, the rest are not. But one looks like a computer drawing, pretty good though.

  • Dig Enya, dig the photos, but the song just doesn't fit at all. Still, interesting vid.

  • Not all of those are 74. The white slender one, is osnobrock nebraska in 71. And there was one from mcconnell air force base in 90.

  • You mean 1991. Nearly all of these are NOT from the Super Outbreak of '74.

  • The last Tornado photo at 1:25 is one of Xenia.

  • WHATS THIS SONG CALLED AND BY WHO

  • It's only time by Enya. Its kinda depressing

  • are you sure all of the tornado photos are from 1974?

  • I recognize four photos (not including the last damage photo) as being from the April '74 outbreak. The rest are not, although there are some great photos. One picture looks like a computer drawing of a tornado.

  • you already used this song

  • which song is it that it is on the vid cause i like it

  • I believe it's "Only Time" by Enya.

  • Very good. I remember that day perfectly well. I was 4, Louisville, Kentucky.

  • I was 6, in Franklin, KY. I know you guys in Louisville and Brandenburg got it pretty bad. The one that come through here formed about 1/2 mile from where I lived at that time. There was one person killed not far from me in that system. She was even in her bath tub (like they tell ya to do), but I think she got hit with a lot of glass etc. Back then, they used to tell ya to open all the windows too. I remember doing it in tornado drills at school. Seems like a lifetime ago.

  • Nice vid warrior

    nice that someone remembers

my dad was somewhat involved, he remembers it all

    thanks again

  • These are great. That white f-0 in the road was pretty cool.

  • You can't tell a tornado's strength from appearence...
