  • this song is amazing. just. amazing.

  • Poesía.

  • Tupac then opened his eyes once, while Kidada was putting Don McLean’s "Vincent" into a player next to his bed. She asked him if he heard her and to move his feet and he did. She asked if he knew she loved him, he nodded. But then he went into a coma.

  • @westsideoutlaw956 I'm glad that someone like Tupac, whose talent was in hiphop, loved this song so much. I wish hiphop could be more like this, positive and heartwarming, not angry and aggressive.

  • awesome

  • I dedicate this song to my radiant nephew, Kevin, who took his life one week ago. A brilliant ray of light who the world could could not see him shine. Kevin, "this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you". Vive toujour!

  • 2pac is death

  • this guy is fucking awesome.

  • This song should have been used in the Joe Pesci film My Cousin Vinny. The lyrics would go so well with the theme of the film.

  • I cannot stop listening to this song!

  • Don Mclean = genius to the hundredth degree

  • If Van Gogh was alive today...he would have Don McLean's CD in his collection.

Two genius's separated only by time.

  • Genius, very under rated.

  • @mirwin931 Much like Van Gogh himself, perhaps; who wasn't recognised until after his death.

  • DON MCLEAN by: VINCENT (starry starry night) acoustic folk guitar 1972

  • DON MCLEAN by:VINCENT (starry starry night) acoustic folk guitar 1972

  • This is such a beautiful video and song. So touching. Vincent Van Gogh's life was so tragic. This song captures it well.

  • I've already use it in class as a student to show my friends Vincent´s master pieces. It´was beatiful to see them in silence listening and admiring. Some thin happened in all of us that day.

    Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

  • His paintings pulsated, almost appear 3-D. His music resonates similarly. Almost as if the sound transcends the medium.

  • E' vero, e' praticamente uguale alla canzone di Arisa.

  • \m/rock on! \m/

  • It would be great if you could also post "Chain Lightning" of Don McLean, which I've been looking for in vain... Nevertheless, thanks for this one! :-)

  • If one of his paintings could be translated into a song, this is what it would sound like

  • Beautiful should have more viewings

  • a great folk song ever

  • Don McClean was one of the most prolific writers that ever lived. His ability to tell a story and include the passion of the moment is hard to be compared.

  • i agree with nakirion. really well done.

    peace/greets from japan. and thanks!

  • Fab stuff, really well put together, honouring both the singer and the painter. Gonna use it in classs with my students! Thanks so much

  • @nakirion i think your class would do well to listen to the work of such poetic and artistic greats.
