It makes sense for Pink to kill him here.
There are only two possibilities as to who shot him: White or Pink. The former is more likely, but the latter isn't impossible. It's not shown here, but when Pink comes out, he's holding his firearm. If you run everything in slow-as-molasses motion like here, you'll see that White does move his gun to the left to get Eddie along with Joe. Pink, however, is the smart one, and stays hidden and kills the one person who would survive in this shootout. It wouldn't be impossible for him to do it.

Blue would eventually gotten arrested along with Pink.

From what was shown, it looked like Joe was shot in his right torso, possibly piercing his lung, which by no means is a immediate death. Likewise Eddy looks to be shot in the stomach or liver area. Also not an immediate death (although a sure one). But then again, it is just a movie, which becomes evident when you see Eddy was falling back before the bullet even hit him :)

This film is MUST-SEE classic! But imho this particulare scene is awful. I mean this scene has great symbolism in it, it's also important part of 'leib-motive', and if i can say so, this situation is Tarantino's firm, a typical Tarantino's ''murder drama'', but it's rolled so bad(completely out of sync, unprofessional camera work, no fkn minimal effects!!!) that they ruined it totally. So amateur, crude and 'non-Tarantinian'! BTW i live near Taranto! from where Famiglia Tarantino are from...

Sorry to ruin it for you fellows but in an interview with Chris Penn (Eddie) he said that White was supposed to shoot Eddie while White was on the ground while Eddie thought he had survived. However Penn's squib (a device that makes it look like you were shot) accidentally went off early and Penn just fell down. After that Tarantino said to leave it that way because it would go on to become one of movies' greatest controversies, who shot Nice Guy Eddie?

It's so obvious. Like in the video, watch his gun. Mr. Pink had scrambled underneath the ramp right before the others started screaming-then-shooting each other. If he had shot Nice Guy Eddie, he would've had his head sticking out underneath the ramp with his gun aimed at the area they were standing.

well the theory of mr white shooting both the boss and eddie before going down could be true, but Mr. Pink was hiding underneath the ramp the entire time and i'm pretty sure he had a gun just like the rest of them, so i believe he shot nice guy eddie

I think the biggest question in the whole movie (I wonder why nobody noticed this):
The cop was drenched in gasoline when Nice Guy Eddie shot him, and not a single spark or fire.

1. The gasoline had dried significantly from the time Mr. Blonde drenched him with gasoline and Nice Guy eddy shot the gun.
2. Eddy may not have been close enough to the gas trail to spark anything.

@Kobe24Pauer Obviously Tarantino wanted a one on one dialogue between Mr. White and Mr. Orange. From what was shown, it looked like Joe was shot in his right torso, possibly piercing his lung, which by no means is a immediate death. Likewise Eddy looks to be shot in the stomach or liver area. Also not an immediate death (although a sure one). But then again, it is just a movie, which becomes evident when you see Eddy was falling back before the bullet even hit him :)

Yeah, of course. Tarantino wanted a dialogue. But a little mistake there. However, I failed. Joe shoots Mr Orange, Mr White shoots Joe and Eddie, and Eddie shoots Mr White. So, Mister White did not receive 2 shots. hehehe.
