  • She was oustanding in 1934...love you Shirley Temple

  • It's sad to see people fighting over two beautiful child stars. Both Shirley Temple and Margaret O'brien were adorable and talented. Neither existed to spite the other, they are their own people. So please, stop comparing them.

  • Cute : )

  • hey if you like shirley temple, make sure to visit a fantastic tumblr; it's called miss-shirley-temple.tumblr.com. it's fantastic, i love the tumblr!!

  • I always loved James Dunn and Shirley's friendship together. It always looked like there was a real father-daughter relationship between them :) it's amazing how different and innocent things were back then.

  • For everyone who's saying the dress is too short, you obviously have never been to a recital for a little kid. You put them in a leotard to cover them up and build on from there. Some people just leave them in the leotard and tights and that's ok because THEY'RE DANCERS. Especially little girls because their legs are so short, if you put them in anything longer, you can't see what their legs are doing and if that's the case, why have them move their legs at all? Shirley was a tapper, it's all a

  • Her dress is really short because yes it's a tutu and also it was the style back then...during the great depression people were really poor, so the style for little girls was to make dresses with material that was left over from their mother's dresses....hence why they were short....there was not a lot of material.

  • For those of you complaining that the dress is too short....It's supposed to be a TUTU!!!

  • this is so cute it made me tear up

  • She got all the cutes there was back then !

  • Shirley sure is talented for a 6 year old.

  • that dress is too short

  • @estelackrebollar

It is not, for crying out loud she is just a little girl! Besides she didn't pick out her own clothes/costumes.

  • @GypsyFairy85 I know but is just a comment, i mean, i really like the dress...

  • @estelackrebollar

its a cute little outfit, and Shirley looks like a little doll.

  • @afterdescription If you had an innocent mind, that thought would have never entered into it. Maybe you're just a pervert.

  • @Mx5d23L maybe you're naive.

  • She is just so cute! These are some of my favorite movies. i also love their style. I want the womens hair....

  • if anyone finds someone cuter than her, they've found the impossible.

  • @gussiegander I think Margaret O'Brien was cuter. Curly hair and dimples are no match for braids and pouty lips.

  • @MrColigings shirley temple is much cutier than Margaret O'Brien . srry to say but that true

  • @imyourbffforlife She doesn't even look like a real child. She looks like a wind-up doll. At least, Margaret looked human.

  • @MrColigings nah shirley is cuter by far she looks like a little doll margaret o,brian looks like an average child you would see on the streets

  • i really like this movie. my favorite shirley movie. i wanna see again

  • i used to be able to sing like that now im 13<3

  • OMG I love shirley she is so cuteeeeeee

  • how old is she?

  • i love the head shake!

  • She is so adorable once I put my hair in curlers and I looked just like her awesome don't u think ?! :DD

  • can someone tell me the name of this song these are some words> "london bridge is falling down my fair lady iiii wanna make mud pie yes i would like to make a mess"

  • @MISSToToRo1 It's from Poor Little Rich Girl - "Oh My Goodness" - Shirley sings it to her dolls. :)

  • @friendsfamilyaccount thankyou soo much! :D

  • Shriley Temple was born April 23, 1928. So talented.

  • modern day technology for these original beauties, was it worth it?

  • did he just eat her kiss??? someone should keep an eye on him....

  • Where to even start with how much I love Shirley Temple. Her dresses are amazing! You could never even dream of such workmanship ever in a modern store. What I wouldn't give to own just one, to display. Then the is Shirley herself as an actress. At 6 years old I would expect a child to play with silly-putty and dolls. She dances like a doll with legs that move with grace with the chubby child body of silly putty. She is amazing and her movies are a national treasure. I Love her so much.

  • @mica24play I just love her dresses too! And did you know that many of them were made by her mother? There was so much more home sewing back then too, and it was done so well!

  • press 3 repeatedly it is beyond cute!

  • that dude looks like steve carell

  • How is it possible that she is soooo cute and sooooo talented!!!!!!!!!

    It's almost unhuman!!!!!!

  • cuteness overloadddd

  • She was in so many movies in 1934! Didn't they have child labor laws back then?

  • @rubinoos1 Yeah...but movies took less time to film than, too.

  • @rubinoos1 Yeah...but movies took less time to film then, too.

  • She's so stinking cute.

  • I LOVE the pupet part(:

  • This makes me feel old.

  • was this movie colorized after it was filmed? it doesn't look technicolor...

  • @londongoth7 All Shirley Temple films before " The Little Princess " were in black and white. So yes it was colorized.

  • James Dunn is really cute! Love his voice and personality. And Shirley is gorgeous!

  • whats the name of this song and who sings it

  • Shirley Temple was good, but she'll never be a Jon-Benet Ramsey.

  • @DCFunBud Of course she will never be a Jon-Benet Ramsey........Shirley lived.

  • @DCFunBud ye gods, are you serious? No harm to the child who died so tragically but Shirley had more talent in her little finger than any of these painted little mini adults. Shirley could act, sing and dance and oh yes, made scores of films. :)

  • this is a sweet scene one of my daughter favorite movies

  • Anyone know the link to Shirley Temple's "BABY TAKE A BOW" in which she shares the stage with Bert Lahr? Her lyrics begin with "Everybody's asking me, Who's that bunch of personality? I'm presenting you right now, Baby, Take A Bow!...Hear them whispering, Hasn't she got everything? You're a standout! Listen to the compliments they hand out..."

  • Hi Sarah, Certainly this song is entitled "On Account of I Love You" . I have been looking for another Shirley Temple bit entitled "Baby Take A Bow" which begins with the lyrics: "Everybody's asking me: Who's that bunch of personality? I'm presenting you right now, Baby, Take a Bow!" Does anyone know the link to this? Anyway, thanks for such a good set of videos!

  • at least it's not the devil's music. song was written by an atheist.

  • i never saw Baby Take a Bow! if/when i do my shirley temple experience will be complete lol

  • "Baby, Take a Bow" - This is part of the Birthday scene. Great early Shirley Temple vehicle that cemented her stardom. Mixture of good and evil with gangster storyline aginst Shirley's innocent cuteness. Actually banned in some countries because of Shirley's abduction by gangsters. Must see. Thanks for uploading.

  • aw!

  • This is real Hollywood, old hollywood is always the best, dancing and singing from your heart. LOVE YOU SHIRLEY!:)

  • hey sarah thanks sooo much for uploding this love shirley she´s so talentes.

I am making a video of her and wanted to use some of the vids you uploded is it ok?

  • I would give anything to have played the part of James Dunn in this picture with Shirley

  • This makes me want to find all my old VHS tapes of Shirley!!!

  • I grew up in the Great Depression, two years younger than Shirley. I saw all her movies, starting at the age of five. It cost a dime for children to go to the local theater on Saturdays. By the time I was six, Shirley Temple had stolen my heart away, and I wanted to marry her. Finally, in fifth grade, the girls told me I can't marry her because she was older than me!

  • I love his voice, it's so unique and Pure :) I was Shirley Temple for a school project, where we had to dress as the person we did the report on, i sadly didn't get to wear a cute dress, i was Shirley Temple as an adult :)

  • Well Wheatingurl, it's innocence, if you don't think of it in a weird or disturbing way, then it's fine gosh

  • 1:37, WTF. :S

  • hey, that's Loop from Bright Eyes, isn't it?

  • @nmaster13 Yeah, that's James Dunn who played Loop in "Bright Eyes."

  • Yes, it is.

  • @sarahluvsshirley wow, he looks differnt in bright eyes

  • @nmaster13 yep it is

  • So amazing!!!!

People were so innnocent back then.

It's so refreshing to watch these videos. :)

  • I Completely Agree, it's so touching to see a daughter and her dad dancing, even if it's staged, everything back in the 30's seemed so simply and innocent ;)

  • she was EXTREMELY cute!

  • So adorable

  • I cannot help but notice most of her cute dresses are extremely short...

  • I think they did that so Shirley could look like more a baby

  • that's because they didn't have enough cloth to make long dresses during the Great Depression

  • little girls dresses usually are because underneath them they have the ruffled panties. Its for very little girls, like 7 and under. Plus that was the style then. But ruffled panties are for showing, thats why the dresses are short, i wore them when i was a little kid, Very cute and innocent. something only little kids can get away with.

  • "When People Say I am Obsessed Shirley Temple. Thank You (L) "

    :)

  • LOVE THIS!!

That move at 2:08 James Dunn did.....that's the type of move I'd do! LOLOLOL!!
