  • Creepy

  • This is just a educational video. he was fully conscious when making this video. Thats too much REM to be goin on like that.

  • thought rem looked cooler than this

  • I learned about rapid eye movement today!

  • We actually enter REM sleep twice, 70-90 minutes after we fall asleep and sometimes before we wake up. In REM sleep we have the rapid eye movement, increased breathing and heart rate, and very vivid dreaming. When you are in REM you are always dreaming and when you are dreaming it is impossible to snore.

  • @Misty1320 I'd like to know your sources for this. I don't mean to sound rude, but I'm sorry to say that most of what you have said is wrong.

  • @garryw1305 They are right about the increased vital signs (temp, BP, pules, RR). We can enter REM sleep multiple times as we backtrack from stage 4 to stage 1 of the sleep cycle. With regard to the dreaming, I am unsure.

  • @AVBIMusic They are indeed right about the RR & BP and the first cycle being 70-90 mins. As for the rest though, in my professional opinion its wrong (I work in a Sleep Research Centre). To correct what I think is wrong in the order it was originally written: In REM sleep we do have rapid eye movements but you don't have to have rapid eye movements for the stage to be defined as REM. As for vivid dreaming, how will we ever know? We only remember 5% of our dreams and we can dream outside of REM.

  • look at him, looking at his dream world wonder what he's doing

  • lol

  • Dreaming is so weird! It's such a weird phenomenon.

  • do we all have REM? and how can you tell? i know i smile in my sleep sometimes those that have anything to do with REM ?

  • we all enter REM sleep at some point in the night. usually right before we wake up.

The rapid eye movements are tracking what your doing in your dream.

  • yeah, we all have REM sleep. u cant tell cuz u dont know. we have 5 stages of sleep and the first 4 are non REM. the last stage is REM. this is a cycle and it goes on throughout the night. and ur body is almost paralysed. ur fingers, face, and legs can twitch though. and ur eyes are moving in all directions

  • @makaylatrain17 the twich I believe if Im not incorrect is called the hypnic jerk.

  • everyone goes through REM sleep

  • this is actually wsay cooloer then id thought itd be haha. i just clicked it and was like, wow this is stupid, its a video of a dude sleeping hahaha

  • how did you film this?, what kind of Camera did you use?.

  • amazing!

  • that's scary. imagine how scary it is to watch paul McCartney during his REM, as he sleeps with his eyes open

  • One time, I had a nerve-wrecking nightmare, and when I woke up, my eyes hurt a little from all the R.E.M..

  • Enter the matrix...

    Good luck in it!

  • @ShadowZezima try taking the blue and the red pill together when Morpheus offers

  • u know those lumps are the back of ur eyes cord thingies?

  • you mean optical nerve right which helps us see light on a spectrum. lol

  • I thought that it was really cool that you filmed yourself doing that...nice

  • This is pretty neat and helped me understand what REM Sleep generally was.

  • I really like your vids. I've always been interested in sleep and sleep studies. I actually tried filming myself in REM sleep a couple nights ago but I couldn't get enough light in my room for my camera. Are you napping with the lights on or actually sleeping at night? Do you leave your camera filming all night?

    Thanks for the interesting vids!

  • i know alcohol suppresses dreaming but i didnt know cannabis did this. I've heard stories of people who smoke pot and had very vivid dreams.

  • guys look at him, he's entering the matrix.

  • I swear we live two lives one in REM sleep and the other awake lol

  • just thought id ask

  • very cool, and this must not have been simple to do. will drugs interfere with something like this?

  • Lol, interfere with what? dreaming?
