@chinacat9090 I've been all over that for years. Thanks for the advice though. I've also found setbreak.com to be very helpful for killer SBD GD shows. And nugs.net has about 20 good GD shows for clean download.
Man, I love Brent. People (me included) are all about '77 era Dead, but I really dig the early 80's stuff. To each his own. Especially for this band. It's all good to me, but a band whose career spans so much time and so many different feels, its nice to be able to pick a time where there is a certain something that you like. Good old Grateful Dead!
@TheChinaRider Agreed. Just check out the 4:32 mark till about 4:50 where the camera pans form Bill to Phil to Bob... eyes closed keeping the jam going... till it comes back full circle to Jerry. It's all feel and instinct at that point. I miss them.
I listen to alot of punk, (Mainly Ska beach stlye Sublime,Pepper, etc) hardcore, plus some heavier stuff but Im very eclectic and like all types of music ... I have been listening to alot of The Dead lately and I have to say that as improvisational artists They were amazing ...This song opened me up to them in the frst place and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any more "Disco Dead" I should check out? Ive been finding alot of bluesy bluegrass jams and am looking for their funkier stuff.
@Mateoface Slippery slope my friend, I started with DC Dischord stuff in the early 90's to arguing best 70's Dead soundboards with folks. Keep your mind open and you'll discover a ton of great music that has been made and is still being made. Never started wearing tiedye myself though!
@Mateoface -Dancin in the street (try 5-11-77 for what you're looking for, and 5-11-78 is funny and rockin, haha). West L.A. Fadeaway. Scarlet Begonias? but easywind1975 is right.
If you think The Dead were terrible then why are you listening and watching them?Nothing better to do? I don't like Pepsi but I'm not gonna write a letter to the company telling them how much I dislike their product!
@davidsliltruck You have never been to a show I guess, that is a huge statement to make, I would not make a statement like that about something I knew nothing about.
It was never about the drugs, sure people took drugs at shows, but it was about the band feeding off the crowds energy and the crowd feeding off the bands, that by itself is like a drug. They could take you places just with the music they played if you opened up to it. Anyways God Bless you man, hope you listen to more dead.
your supposed to noodle. this is when we all would be boogie-ing down. im a huge shakedown lover, never met one I didnt loose my shizzle to. i love this one.
INSANE !!! Everyone is on fire here. My appreciation for Bob Weir has grown so much over the last few years. My appreciation for Brent has never wavered...
Disco DEAD love it!!!! Thanks for the video and the sound is really great

This looks like Radio City music hall!!!! Based on what Bob and Jerry are wearing. I think it may be featured as an extra on the DVD.
