  • Bravo ^^

  • Love this song sooo much!!! also remind me the Japanese drama Nodame Cantabile! for who dont know about this drama. This drama talks about orchestra and they use this song for their drama theme song. They also made the movie of this drama. If u guys want to try to watch it just type "Nodame Cantabile The Final Score Part 1 with English subtitles" on youtube u will see a full movie of it

  • The blonde clarinet player is well cute.

  • amazing!!!

  • would've warranted a 'like' had the entire movement been in it....instead its cut off before the end....disgraceful....

  • 2:18 that guy is trying really hard

  • The theme starting @ 4:35 is one of the most beautiful compositions I've ever heard. It's been a favorite since I first heard it as a kid watching Cosmos.

  • 2:15 the man and the girl looks wierd!!

  • One person got frustrated they could not spell-check Concertgebouw

  • Whosoever dislikes this symphony shall go deaf.

  • 1 dislike and you've disgraced yourself and your family.

  • bee gees rule

  • 1 dislike sucks everyone

  • Listen to that Horn at 5:07!

  • @acechrisman blends so perfectly :P

  • I'm singing in the Concertgebouw too, with my school

  • What joy to listen to this symphony ! The sound of the orchestra is gorgeous.

  • @KhagarBalugrak Perhaps Lady Gaga's music suits you better....

  • @toyouall, lol, I hate pop music. You know, it is possible to dislike Beethoven and still be a good musician. Debussy and Britten, and many other great composers, loathed Beethoven. Of course, if you really think you know it all, have it all worked out far better than people like Debussy, then you must be on the level of Bach or some such great genius...

  • @KhagarBalugrak Wow.....never realized that some people can get SO defensive......it was meant to be joke, not an attack and any of the assimptions that you have created.

BTW, where in my sentence did I remotely mention or even hinted that, and I quote:" I think I know it all..."?

Al I wrote was "Perhaps Lady Gaga's music suits you better..."

  • very very good

  • For god's sake, I'm crying like a baby... this is one of the reasons I'm proud of being a human.

  • LOL the conducter looks funny!!! =P

  • I also heard them live. Their string section is second to none.

  • Those best orchestra, conductor, and hall are highly doubtful

  • One person posted a "dislike". Actual proof that the internet is an open and democratic medium and don't discriminate against the deaf....

  • This music gives me the shivers. It's just too awesome. The strings are the best IMO.

  • You don't need to say what your age is in your comment. Especially on the internet. Seriously, just respectfully share your thoughts + feelings. No one needs to know you're a minor (and technically aren't allowed to have a youtube account)

  • Idk, I cant truly find this kind of music really enjoyable for me, its like a food without salt/spice. Probably there is no emotional touch, I am coming from hearing MW2 endcredit soundtrack and I thought I would find the orchestra of it. Yes and somehow that game's soundtrack (which I play the game of course) has more meaningful and touching wave of sound for me.

  • @omnilothar perhaps because your emotions were flooding as you ended the game. Listening to this one, well, it doesn't have a game in the beginnning.

It isn't your fault. :). Though it would help if you just close your eyes and listen. :)

  • @omnilothar The composer was deaf. Hope that helps.

  • @omnilothar Maybe because this music is in comparison to contemporary music less strong in its expressions it seems flat to you. It just takes getting use to it.

  • A very good and satisfactory performance, that does not need at all of the haughty comments of the poster.

  • The Concertgebouw under Haitink is truly great in the Austrian/German classical repertoire.

  • Nick Woud Nick Woud

    timpani rocks!

  • one of the best orchestras n the world for sure, and an excellent conductor. what more can you ask for (apart from being there live)??

  • beautiful winds

  • now thats dedication top notch 5 * from john

  • dommage que la video soit trouble, car pour le reste tout est excellent !

  • can someone please tell me what istrument is being used at 3:17 by the man and the blonde woman ??????? PLEASE!!!!!!!!

  • @AndrewG1109 They're playing oboes.

  • @AndrewG1109 They are the first and second oboe

  • @AndrewG1109 A clarinet

  • @AndrewG1109 : OBOE

  • gay...jk kewl lol

  • it's so weird how u can't tell if the conductor is satisfied or not. it's the same with almost all conductors

  • This is beautiful!!!

  • When I attented his concert at Feb., 2009, he still can standing on the stage, only one month later, time!!

But he still no doubt one of my 10 best conductors, both history & live.

  • Beethovens nine symphonies is in my opinion the greatest music ever written!

  • This wonderful conductor is doing all of the Beethoven symphonies in June in Chicago--even two symphonies per night! I hope my friend survives the trial. I think we will get tickets for one of the two-symphony nights (1 and 7?) and the Haitink farewell of the 9th. A truly great conductor and a good man.

  • absolutely stunning! I really enjoyed this piece.

  • fantastic sound

  • Yeah the Concertgebouw is famous for their rich string sound and beautiful winds. I've heard them live and it sounds this good.

  • This really shock me. This version can rival Karajan's.

  • @angus24402870451

in my opinion haitinki is actually better. best symphonic conductor of the century! ( i've got to say that i love bernstein too)

i dont like karanjan doing beethoven... the 7th specially I think the second movement is way to fast...

  • Fantastic! Even as good as Abbado's one (with Berliner Philarmoniker in Rome). On the other hand these are really the best orchestras of the whole world. What a beautiful sound Navarrov(the first oboe)!

  • i am 12 and i love dis sort oof music it sounds sooo....so....words cant describe

  • @lisaL97 it sounds good. dumb ass thats how u describe it

  • @lisaL97 i' 12 2 and i loveee it soooo much

  • @lisaL97 when i was 12 i could spell way better than you

  • How beautiful and soothing.

  • I heard that few days later they put the Debussy "la mer" on the dutch TV, would you have it by chance? It was recorded during the same concert... Anyway, thanks a lot for the video!

  • Splendid !

I'm sad to see maestro Haitink getting older...

    He's becoming a legend.

  • @arabesque1981 I know. Haitink is going to be one of the greats.
