  • Thanks for responding....

What do you think about cleanses?

    Lemon..etc.

  • Is it true that after becoming a vegan, you no longer have to worry about weight issues? Did you lose weight and have more energy?

  • misshay,

Definitely not true. Most vegans are very unhealthy because they make poor food choices (too many processed sugars and refined cards, fat. I certainly was. However, when you become a RAW vegan, and you are sure to consume a well balanced diet including lots of greens, veggies, fruit, sprouts, some nuts and raw oils, your body will begin to go back to the way it was designed to be. How long that takes will depend on how bad off you were when you started.

  • When you nourish your body the way it was meant to be fed, your body will be better equipped to achieve homeostasis, which not only means your weight will stabilize (unless you have a thyroid condition or something), but you will also shed illnesses and conditions that plagued you when you ate cooked food.

  • Hi Alexis,

glad I found your video. I'm new to raw, and what a ride!

  • 2008raw2008,

I am glad you have discovered raw food. I hope you are enjoying the transition. Thank you for watching. :)

  • missed you! you're way stronger than me for sure.

  • may, I missed you too. Why would you say that? I think it's really just about timing. With persistence, and time, you will find peace with yourself and balance in your lifestyle. It's super hard when you have a baby. Last night I had a dream I was nursing another woman's babies because she wasn't nourishing them properly. No milk came out. Sprouts emerged from my nipples. Like alfalfa sprouts!

  • Hahahha wow! That's a crazy dream.

  • You are awesome Alexis. What a great friend! I'm so proud of you for all that you're doing and am excited for your progress. You seem very unified with yourself in every part...I remember watching older videos of yours, and there was brightness, but not like this. You are an awesome person, thank you for all the great info!!

  • ahsleyjuddstwin,

Thank you so much! I do feel much more balanced and harmonized now that I have stopped struggling with my diet. I still have issues with oversleeping and lack of exercise though, so those are next on my list to conquer. I hope you are doing well. :)

  • Thank's for your answer! I am actually into the raw luv for almost a year now and I wanted to know if I can start a group over here! Thank's for the reply.

  • Oh most definitely! I owe a great deal of my success to our raw meetups. I hope you will also come t the raw spirit festival. It was wonderful last year.

  • I wish I can but 12 hours flight only for the festival is painful:) Have fun and come back with some videos.

    x.

  • That is a long flight. It will take us about that long to drive out there but it's well worth it.

  • OH, and have you considered showing your corsets on YouTube videos?! I think you should; it would be a great way to advertise!

  • teny,

I plan to make some corset videos in the distant future, but not on this channel. Thank you for the suggestion.

  • Hey Alexis! I loved this video! It was very inspiring :)

I want to ask you a question: what do you think about having caffeine? I am not sure if drinking coffee is something that is discouraged with most raw food diets. Thanks so much! <3

  • teny,

Thank you so much. Personally, I have always avoided caffein in any form. I am highly sensitive to it. I advise against it, but you should do your own research and decide what's right for you.

  • Hi Alexis,

So glad you are back, I missed seeing your videos. You are such a great source of information. I have learned a lot from you and your journey. Thank you!

  • Critter,

Thank you so much! Thank you for watching. :)

  • How do you create a meet up ??

  • ravolution, Just go to the meetup web site. It costs about $12 a month to be an organizer, and they charge you 6 months at a time. The site is really easy to use, so you will have a group in no time. Meetup has changed my life. It's so important to meet with real people in real life, especially when you are going raw. I hope you find a group near you or start your own. It made all the difference when i was going raw. You can visit my groups by clicking the links in the video notes. Good luck. :)

  • Hi Alexis, it was nice meeting you yesterday at the Raw food demo. I'm looking forward to many more get togethers with the group. I love your videos!

  • Starla,

It was a pleasure meeting you as well. I hope you enjoyed the demo. Thank you for watching my videos. :)

  • rawfoodpower,

you are all most welcome and thank you for agreeing to ship the books to participants. You are so thoughtful. Sure, we can work on a video together. Just let me know what you have in mind and I'll do my best.

  • Alexis! My Internet connection has been down all day, and I wasn't able to see this entire video until just now. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sending the books. I will gladly give them to Raw Fu members, and you are so loved in that community already! Thank you for shining such a bright light on us!

Can we work together on a special video starring Alexis for one of our Mini Challenges? xoxo

  • Send me your email address . . . I can still get you into Raw Fu by special invitation!

  • Thank you so much for the support! I am a part of Raw Fu, and it is amazing. You are so great, and you are definitely glowing :)

  • rawleslie,

Congratulations for joining the raw fu challenge. I am so excited for you. All of you are motivating me to step it up and get back to my challenges. I think I will do a repeat of my fitness adventure. My sleep cycles are wack and I get so little physical movement. I'm like a bump on a log. I'm glowing from acne. :p hehe. Thank you so much for watching and I look forward to following your success on the challenge.

  • Thank you for this! You are so awesome.

  • uzatwo, You are so welcome. Thank you very much for watching!

  • Hi Alexis,

How wonderful to see you here again! I am glad you are thriving! Some of us "old timers" have joined RawFu too to support & encourage as well as to take our own rawness to a new level. You'd be so welcome if you decided to join us too! Though you might need to ask Bunny pretty please since the challenge is closed now.

With your busy busy life, maybe I'll see you over there.

    Thanks for all you do!

May you have a delightful week!

    --Jen (L'angel Bleu)

    (P.S. I'm finally making vlogs!)

  • rawdevotion,

so nice to see you over here! I should ask Bunny if I can join because I want to explore the site and provide encouragement. I wasn't aware the site was closed to new people until I tried to join yesterday. I will go check out your videos too. :) Hope you are doing well.

  • Hi darling! Thank you so much! Love you so much. xox

  • Bunny, ((hugs)). Could you email me with your shipping address please? I forgot to contact you for that. I hope you don't mind.

    Thank you so much.

  • I love bunny berry! yay! I'm on the challenge! So glad to have all the members of raw fu for support! My hubby is ganna have to watch that!! I have to cook a meal and prep raw. I feel like I'll be in the kitchen all day. I gotta cut some corners. WOOHOO! presents. YOU are awefully sweet for giving those up. They all sound great! I hope I can find a raw meetup in cincinnati! It's nice of u to do this video! I love bunny too. U r so great too.

  • rawfoodkarma,

Thank you so much! I hope you find a meetup too. Mine started with just me and one guy. I remember how exhilarated I felt when I finally got to talk to another aspiring raw vegan in real life. I didn't know where to begin. It was like being an alien and finding out there are other aliens just like me who didn't think I was crazy (like everyone else around me). Keep up the amazing work. YOu will be so well rewarded as you transition. It's unbelievable.

  • I've been raw for short periods of time in the past couple years, so just the benefits I seen is enough to keep me motivated to turn this into a lifelong lifestyle. I know where to get my raw food & usually at Whole foods I meet people who are on many different diets/lifestyles. There is a raw class coming up in 2 weeks at an eco store. I am trying to get registered! wooohooo. Thanks for the response. u look great.

  • rawfoodkarma,

That's wonderful! We are having a raw food demo today. So many people are beginning to realize the benefits of raw food. I'm even raw in my dreams now. Last night I had a dream that someone was trying to feed me cooked food and even though I was hungry, I adamantly declined. Now I just have to get my sleep schedule back in harmony with the sun, and start moving my body. I'm stiff as a board.

  • I'm working on my schedule too. Not sure what's going on with me. I've been painting and cant even move my legs or sit on the toilet due to the pain of my muscles. That is how out of shape I am ! LOL!

  • wow. I hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))

  • OMG you're back! I feel the same way.Today is 2 weeks on the 100 day raw food challenge and I am never going plain vegan again.I just feel like stopping the challenge and call it a lifestyle because that is how I feel.I deliberately had some bread the other day to see if I was still addicted to bread and my love affair for bread is no more, I am so impressed with myself.I just can't go back.

Those giveaways looks awesome.I wish I had them.

Congrats to ur husband its so great.I know u r proud.

  • simsue,

That's awesome! I used to be a bread addict. I even went to overeaters anonymous. I never thought I could live without bread. Now I don't even consider it food. It's amazing! I feel so liberated. During my transition, I would do what you did.. just take a bite to see if zI still liked it. Nothing. It just wasn't good anymore. You changed so fast! I am also very proud of you. Yay!

  • crazy Fit 4 Life II was the first book I read on raw also, and I found it in my library. I was 14 years old

  • Nita,

Wow. You were lucky to find it at such a young age. I went vegan about 15 years ago after reading the first Fit For Life book, then I went raw after reading the second one. They both changed my life dramatically. Somehow those books slipped under the radar and can be found in most public libraries. Highly recommended reading.

  • You have changed so much in the last 3 to 4 months. It has been amazing to watch how the raw nutrition and excercise has seemed to changed your life. What an inspiration you are! Thanks for sharing your life.

  • theknuts, thank you so much. I must confess, I haven't exercises a bit since my last fitness adventure challenge. I'm ridiculously out of shape. If it weren't for raw food, I would probably have gained a lot of weight. I need to start walking at least. Thank you so much for your complements.

  • Your skin looks tight and sexy and there is a very noticable difference than in your previous video appearance. I have been raw for four or five weeks (with no-sulfite wine: raw but not cleansing) and plan on staying that way. Congratulations! But please continue to make videos so we may view your cute little visage... :-)

  • wignsword,

Thank you so much. My skin is actually a wreck right now. I have terrible acne all over my face. I think I am detoxing big time. I haven't had acne like this since I was...golly. I can't even remember. Low resolution vids help. :) I appreciate your complements though. :)

  • "Standard American Sick Diet". I love it!! I think I might start having to call it that! And it's awesome that you're giving away those books! I'm sure that whoever ends up with them will greatly appreciate them! --Maeve

  • Maeve,

The SAD made me sick, so that's really how I feel about it. It's survival food. Now I am into food that makes me thrive. I may give more books later. I have a hard time parting with the ones that contain recipes, even though I make up my own recipes.

  • Great gifts! I'm gonna go to the library today and see what I can find. I've been doing the green smoothies for a week and melted off 2 pounds that way bringing me over a plateau and making my total loss 20 lbs. YAY! I'm doing the RawFu challenge, but taking it slow. Thanks for all your supportive vids!

  • Globelle,

I'm glad to hear you are doing so well! I slacked on the green smoothies for a while when my organic co-op was out-of-order (still is by the way), but I am back at it and really enjoy them.

  • Love your vids! I am a mom of two small Kinders and I am happy to say, that they enjoy wheat grass and garlic shoots!!!

    Thanks!

  • izodz, Thank you so much. I love wheatgrass in orange juice. I haven't had it in forever though. That's for reminding me. :)

  • Wow, just got in from shopping and it looks like I'm the first viewer! Great info Alexis! Way to go on supporting BB! BTW you look really great!

  • Thanks Sam. I have crazy acne these days. It must be detox. I guess that's a good thing, even though it's icky.
