Great vid. Some things require attention, everyone wants something fast and easy. I got a shakespeare baitcaster. It took some getting used to,but I got the hange of it.Iif u got a passion for something u always get better at it. Good video, love everything fishing!

You need to fill that spool up more.... you are killing casting ease and distance with a FAR under filled spool... if you backlash a lot then keep it under spooled like that however if you have a trained thumb Fill it up more.. You should never have a problem casting a slow spool reel like that anyhow.

hey i have a bait caster and it was around 50 dollers and it has a 4 pin cintrifical bracking system and i disengeaged them to make it cast further and put the braking all the way out and when i press the butten to cast the line wont free fall out and there is a good sized whiegt on there.... is there sumthing eles i can do to make it cum out eisier? and whe i try to cast that it just goes maby 5 feet in front of me and gets a birds nest... plz help

i have an 5600 abu.. how can i set my tension to when i want to fish somthing lighter like a plastic worm.... when i set it to loose it backlashes even when my thumbs on the spool.... how can i set my tension perfect?......................­...... another thing is hoow loose/ tight should i have my drag. because i like my fish to fight and feed me line but, when my dragg is too loose when im reeling its just turning that reel not reelng in the spool. plz comment back

your drag should be set to compensate for your weakest link in your combo.

@skatSBz The Tension should be set so that at rest, the lure does not draw line, but upon a light bounce it should unspool around 4 inches to a foot of line then stop. When you cast, use your them as a brake on the spool just as the lure hits the water. Some reels have magnetic brakes you can set to do this, but I do not feel they are as reliable as your thumb. Hope that helps
