ok so last night here in minnesota it rained then it got real freaking hot muggy i went outside and found 5 ants each are maybee a inch long black heads red bodys and black abdoman any idea what kind of ant these are P.S i think there some kind of carpender ant.

@vanlest811454 Check our latest video on Camponotus Nuptial flight. It might help you be able to know if it is a queen and if it's a carpenter ant queen (i.e. Camponotus species)

well im a ant lover just found myself a queen you know its spring and i made mine out of plaster and i was wondering how long it takes for her too lay eggs and she is i belive some kind of sugar ant and i also want to know how long they take to hatch?
