Israel told the arabs to stay in Israel. The arabs refused. The UN Partition was offered to the arabs - but they refused. The reason was that even though the Jews had legal doctrines protecting their claims, the arabs had none - and yet wanted to drive Israel into the sea.

Israel then killed 9 people, blocked communications from/to the boat and then dragged boat into an Israeli port.
Israel kidnaps passengers off the high seas, manhandles them, jails journalists whose only crime is covering a story.
Israel refuses to release the journalists tapes and videos.

@saadasim All of evidence shows that the 9 activists were part of IHH which is an arm of the muslim brotherhood. They wanted a confrontation with Israel and were carrying bats, chains and knives to harm the Israelis who were coming down a rope only armed with paintball guns. That is how the armed terrorists were able to beat the IDF and throw them overboard. Videos are capturing that. To say that these men were unarmed is myth. And the Israeli blockakde of Gaza is legal.

That is when the tactics changed because IDF lives were in danger. All of this is documented and that is why the Turkish govt could not do lawfare against Israel. If they wanted to, the passengers could have killed the IDF soldiers and they would have been in the right as the IDF was an aggressor in the open seas in International Waters. In comparison the IDF killed an American citizen in cold blood at point blank range and denied the doctors to give medical attention to the injured.

Why is it that only one out of 6 ships had a problem? 5 of the ships left with incident when they followed Israeli orders. Israel said that the ship can dock at Al Arish or in Israel and the goods would be delivered. The terrorists refused to do this. Their main goal was to break the blockade.

The only reason that these people were on the ship in the first place was to break the very legal blockade. And was your German friend on the same ship as the IHH? or was he on a different ship? The US handbook of Law of Naval Operations considers an attempt to break a blockade from the time the vessel leaves its port to the time there is an intention of evading the blockade.

@saadasim Maritime blockades are a legitimate and recognized measure under iNternational law that may be implemented as part of an armed conflict at sea. Since Gaza wants to destroy Israel, and if the Gaza ports are open, they will use the ports to bring in weapons to be used against Israel. Because of this, the blockade is legal and valid.

@saadasim What was Hamas and PA offering? Only the dismantlement of Israel - including the lie about the right of return. Since there was never an arab country called Palestine, how can they return to a place that was never theirs? As for the PA, they want a future Pal state that is judenfrei - no Jews. Seems to me any responsible leadershi would not accept the offer. Also, you have things a little backwards, It was Abbas does not want to recognize Israel.
