The best handicappers in the world pick 55 - 60% on sides and totals... this is not graded like a test in high school. You need to pick 52% winners to turn a profit long run VS -105... there are plenty of people making great money earning a "fail" by your ridiculous grading system.

But the USF/UCF comment just leads me to believe you are only posting to put me down. Never understood what joy people take in being mean to complete strangers online, but if it makes you happy, more power to you.

Sure, you can "predict" the outcome of USC vs. North Texas, Ohio State vs. FIU, Florida vs. MTSU. Does that make you 3-0? Sure. It's the games you went 0-4 on that I'm not content with. You just use the previous week's stats and media to convey why you pick the way you do. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but you're doing no more than what Trev Alberts, Greg Amsinger, and Brian Jones are...

...You're "selling" yourself as Vegas Dave yet you're not separating yourself from the rest. The other day, I see a guy doing picks with the title "Florida State Bulls." Then I come here and all of a sudden USF is SFU. On your description, you list your stats heading into the week at 6-4 then you list this week's results. Why aren't they combined for the season so far?

Note my stats say "Heading into this week"... if you check my most recent vid (as I write this, Week 3) you will see that I updated last week to be 2 - 5 and season to 8 - 9. Thats just how I keep track week to week. I don't really understand the other thing... Florida State is obviously the Seminoles and they would be FSU. I just made an error in thinking it was written South Florida Univ (SFU) instead of Univ of South Florida (USF) so I corrected it.

Also, thanks for clearing up the whole grading thing, as I really, really thought it was just like a test in high school. But, hey, whatever makes you feel better about your 60% last week and... what was it this week?...

You are the one that said 59% was failing, not me. This week was terrible and had you said 2 - 5 = 29% = awful, I'd have agreed with you. You chose to point out the 6 - 4 = 60% week.

...Just make sure you don't rush a pick to get a video out on time. After all, South Carolina should easily run over Vanderbilt at Vandy, Michigan has revenge on its mind and should roll over Miami(OH), BYU should easily put points up (35, 40+) on Washington, and there's no reason to believe UCF is gonna put points up on South Florida...

I didn't say I was 52%, did I? Just said thats what it takes. And there is still a lot of football left to be played so we'll see how I look at the end of the season. I can't keep responding to every point I get from you, but I took the time to respond to each of your points in hopes that you will understand better where I'm coming from, and you deserve a response instead of just being ignored. Hopefully these responses were adequate for you.

I don't see how this applies. I pick games against the spread... I'm not just picking powerhouses over minor teams. I of course factor in last weeks stats but I think I incorporate more then just that. But you are entitled to your opinion.

It is Top 7 games as in best bets, not best games to watch this week... I'd say Miami @ Florida and Cinci @ Ohlahoma and West Virginia @ ECU will all be more entertaining then UAB @ FAU. I didn't want to give up 21.5 and take Florida, but I couldn't bet against a Florida blowout, either. I knew SFU looked funny, I'll change that, thanks.

I will if I ever see a good line on one of their games... they are one of the toughest teams to cap in the country. You never know what side of them is going to show up. Getting rid of that bum Callahan was a huge step in the right direction.

nice picks last week dave .i miss those ones some how....what you think on Navy and Ball ST on Friday....Ball st given up lots of points to a good navy team ..ball st and navy where good last year high scoring i was thinking the over

Thank you. Can't disagree with your assessment here... I was looking at the over here, but it is too early in the season for me. Both teams returned a lot of players on defense and may take a step forward this year. Also, If Ball State tackles well, Navy's running game could eat a LOT of clock. I personally will just be watching this one and taking notes, but if you are betting a total here, its gotta be the over. Good luck if you take it!

THAT I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. No way I'm giving up 7 in what could be a game that is close to the end, but no way I'm taking 7 in Ball State against a team that could easily piece it all together and roll. Are you leaning one way or the other? I don't see an edge here but if you do don't let me talk you out of it!

Great job Dave. Good luck with your NCAA picks! Would you like to see a playoff in college football? Sort of like where 16 teams would battle for 4 weeks for the national title. The semi finals losers play in the #2 game and the elite 8 losers play in the #3 and #4 bcs game and the other bowl games will be picked after the 1st round of the playoffs. What do you think?

Yeah, Clemson is going to need to string some convincing wins together before I look their way again. Don't blame you on FAU, ironically its one of my fave picks this week... I always do better with the off-the-radar teams then I do picking SEC and Pac-10 type teams.
