In my opinion the Russian airforce is the greatest in the world. The MiG-29 was designed to 'kill' the F-16, and the Su-27 series was designed to 'kill' the F-15. Although the US now have the F-22, they only have a few, and after the introduction of the Sukhoi PAK/FA in a few years time the US will have no 'claim to fame' as it were. Also...Russian aircraft look so much better than their American counterparts. Very nice video!

that is a beautiful aircraft. i will say that it is one of my favorite aircraft in the Ace Combat series. I have also heard from different sources that for long range missions, the plane is equipped with a small kitchen space and a simple toilet for the crew. correct me if im wrong

Su-34 was designed to use as "naval sinker" against small military units and merchant ships. I don't know if it could be used as ground-attacker, it seems to be unlikely. Ground attacker must be rather agile, where as Su-34 is quite heavy, but it has got thrust enough to carry powerful antiship missiles. Few hundreds of Su-34 could split NATO into two by blocking naval routes across Atlantic Ocean

Its maximum payload is only used up for short range heavy ground attack mission. Still, the F-15E could carry more numbers of missiles and bombs to destroy more variety of targets compared to Cy-34

I dont understand all this arguing between American and Russian designs, Americans make EXTREMELY great planes and THEY have been battle tested against russian designs in combat ALWAYS coming out on top. The F-15 0-100 kill ratio. The A-10 scares the shit outta the russians and the list goes on an on. Well the A10 is good but so is the Su25 which came out relatively the same time. Now its kind of unfair to compare Russian weapons to American weapons because the Russians do, like the Americans, make export versions, and Russian weapons haven't been tested (by Russians) against American weapons (by Americans) since the Korean war, and if i recall, Russian piloted Migs were quite formidable until the new Americans planes came out, but there was no new Russian plane to counter it before the truce
All comes down to the man in the cockpit. You fight like you train. The US trains, the russians (almost) don't. The US fights, the russians (almost) dont.
That's Russian technology for you.. you have to specify their radar is LD/SD.
I like the Su-34 - I really do - but belief that the PAK FA will come to fruition within the next ten years is wishful thinking at best. The Su-35 platform would be fearsome.. if we were still using F16 B/40s.

The F-15 is pretty much an equal match for the Su-27. Yes, the Iraqis were using Vietnam era aircraft to fight F-15s, that is, when the pilots weren't REFUSING to fight them. To me any Iraqi pilot who went up against an F-15 in one of those piece of shit MiG-21s gains my respect just by having the balls to challenge one. I'd say, at this point, the US would have a slight lead over Russia in terms of a fighting force, although if Obama doesn't pull us out of Iraq fucking quick that will change

Ofcorse it is better that Strike Eagle.
In the strike role he is better than both F-22 and F-35.
Expert say that it is 5 generation fighter.

I dont understand all this arguing between American and Russian designs, Americans make EXTREMELY great planes and THEY have been battle tested against russian designs in combat ALWAYS coming out on top. Well the A10 is good but so is the Su25 which came out relatively the same time. Now its kind of unfair to compare Russian weapons to American weapons because the Russians do, like the Americans, make export versions, and Russian weapons haven't been tested (by Russians) against American weapons (by Americans) since the Korean war, and if i recall, Russian piloted Migs were quite formidable until the new Americans planes came out, but there was no new Russian plane to counter it before the truce

I like the Su-34 - I really do - but belief that the PAK FA will come to fruition within the next ten years is wishful thinking at best. The Su-35 platform would be fearsome.. if we were still using F16 B/40s.
If Russia ever puts money back into the air force and their design bureaus, they will be an impressive force (and, like the late 1970s-late 1980s, probably dominate in practical design again). Until then..

Actually it's yanky weapons that always work better on paper than the battlefield; for the Russians the opposite is true; their weapons are always effective, eg
M14 (overpowered) M16(unreliable) F4(unmaneuvarable) Stinger (unreliable)
MiG21(lasts forever) AK47(reliable & lasts forever) Hind (multirole)
SU24 is similar to F111, SU34 isn't.
The SU27 flexibility is really impressive and will mean that variants will fly forever - Su27/33/34/35 and probably more to come.
Prefer Fulcrum though.

Why are we comparing a 5th generation Fighter-Bomber to the 4th gen F15 and to the 5th gen Fighter/Interceptor F-22? As a fighter-bomber this is better than the US equivalence, but against an F-22 it'll lose. Until Russia decides to fund their 5th Generation fighter completely, the F-22 will continiue to rule.
The main Russian competitiors to the F-22 will be the MiG 1.44 MFI and the SU-47 Berkut, but neither of them are past the experimental/planning stage. Until then, America is winning.

Su-47 and MiG 1.44 were projects during 90s. PAK-FA will be Russian 5th generation fighter and competitor to F-22. America is not wining. S-400 can destroy Raptor without problem. Su-35 can destroy Raptor, but there would be losses on both sides.

The F-15 is pretty much an equal match for the Su-27. Yes, the Iraqis were using Vietnam era aircraft to fight F-15s, that is, when the pilots weren't REFUSING to fight them. To me any Iraqi pilot who went up against an F-15 in one of those piece of shit MiG-21s gains my respect just by having the balls to challenge one. I'd say, at this point, the US would have a slight lead over Russia in terms of a fighting force, although if Obama doesn't pull us out of Iraq fucking quick that will change

The Su-37, Su-35BM and Su-47 are going to be able to kick the ass of the F-15 no problem, and it doesn't look like Osam--er--Obama... is going to be restarting the F-22 any time soon or speeding up COIL and TLS systems for the F-35 in the foreseeable future, so you really have nothing to worry about militarily atm.
