I'm watching the 1931 German film "ecstasy" a mostly silent film on tcm now and there are nude shots of her. Her character rides a horse out to a lake where she swims nude and then has to chase her horse when it runs away with her clothes on it's back.

You see her breasts and the contour of her incredible body. She was only about 19 at this time and she is so sexy it is incredible.

Nobody cared much for this film at the time but seeing her makes it a classic in my book.

Beautiful job! I remember when I was a young girl, I found my mother's hidden book "Ecstasy And Me" and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. Forty years later and I still feel that way! Althought Rita Hayworth comes very close...

Thank you! I realize that pictures don't do Hedy justice. She looks a billion times much better when she's moving. But if you do a Hedy picture tribute, you have to get it up close to her face. 'Cause, the closer you look at her, the more beautiful she actually is. Not many actresses can produce such feeling for me. (Now I sound just like my big sis :-))

@mshayworthfan . You are right about Hedy - she is beautiful, and in motion equisite. She is bested only by one other, one also with an Austrian-by-one-step-removed pedigree - Alida Valli. She was a great actress and, for me, the greatest beauty ever on film. As one admirer said: "Some women are so beautiful it hurts - such a woman was Alida Valli." Hedy too, but I feel Alida had the edge. Mais, chacun a son gout! Nicht?

She was cremated and her ashes were tossed into the wind, in a beautiful garden in Vienna, Austria, her home, by her children
